The
Experience

The re-lifted stately face looks finer than ever in its great park and apple orchards (15 varieties); it is a truly lovely setting. Inside, a warm, embracing country house with a panelled breakfast room, an amazing, museum-worthy, multi-tiled gents cloakroom and, up the wide old stairs, quietly luxurious bedrooms, some huge, furnished with printed fabrics and period pieces. Be charmed by wooden floors and plain walls in sunny tones, perhaps an old fireplace or a mirrored armoire. Quiet and intelligent, Sylvie is a natural at making guests feel at home.

Reviews

The unusual rainy September weather did not alter the beautiful feel of Chateau Saulty. We loved meeting Sylvie and the large room we stayed in with views over the garden and distant orchard. Sylvie was very informative about the region and the WW1 tunnels built by NZ men were a site to visit. We enjoyed walking around and dining in Arras. A lovely Chateau to stay when you like to relax and be away from it all.

Beautiful place to stay. Such a charming chateau on such a gorgeous piece of land. We watched the sunset from our room overlooking the horse in the paddock...so peaceful and serene. This is a great place to visit Vimy WWI memorial and the quaint town of Arras. I highly recommend the Chateau Saulty.

  • You can have a walk in our orchard, and maybe see a roe-deer, a squirrel...
  • The lovely town of Arras is at 20 km : come and discover flamish squares and eating habits on the north of France.
