The golden stone of the oldest farmhouse in the village is now fronted by a large glass sunroom, and flowers flourish in the lower garden where two new houses stand. Discreetly friendly, relaxed and obliging, owners Olivier and Véronique (this was her pioneering parents’ B&B) serve delicious breakfasts and for dinner there are a couple of good places in the village, which is small and charming. Bedrooms are simple, traditional, pristine, one in an outbuilding overlooking the courtyard and wooded hills, another (the triple) with its own patio overlooking the lawns. There’s a neat and tidy sitting room, too. Good value.
