A hop from Boulogne and the Calais ferry, an immaculate house of stylish bedrooms and excellent dinners with your fishmonger hosts

Tranquil meadows, pastoral bliss: a metaphor for your calm, smiling fishmonger hosts. Caroline grew up with B&B: her parents were pioneers, she loves it. The fine old farmhouse, with pale façade and garden dotted by shady fruit trees, is an immaculate B&B retreat, while the outbuildings house two busy gîtes. The adventurous bedrooms are a surprise after the classic French dining room (long table, high upholstered chairs). Urban-chic in deep red and mustard, one is swathed in rich oriental toile de Jouy, the other in intensely patterned wallpaper and billowing taffeta. Caroline is graceful and sociable.

We arrived late on a dark, wet, stormy night to a warm welcome from Caroline! We stayed in the red room which was very large and comfortable, and had a modern en-suite. In the morning Caroline gave us an amazing and very filling French-style breakfast including cereal, croissants, fresh fruits, different kinds of breads, with cheese and savoury terrine and plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juice. Outside the room was a microwave and drink-making facilities, and the grounds looked lovely. We'd definitely recommend this fantastic B&B, which was very good value and close to the Eurotunnel.

This is a lovely place to stay. Our room was pretty and well insulated from the storm that was raging outside. But most of all, we enjoyed the company of our hosts at supper time.

We had a very peaceful night here doing B&B with dinner..Lovely room ,lovely animals ,lovely breakfast and organic veg to take home. Our hosts spoke excellent English so very interesting conversation over dinner.Very convenient stop for tunnel or ferry.Thank you -we will be back.

We stayed two nights either end of our trip to Giverny - lovely room, lovely people, lovely food - and even the dogs were lovely. Would highly recommend this property and the very welcoming owners.
