There’s plenty to do here other than riding! Immerse yourself in nature, join an English language course, groom horses, hike with a donkey, climb or cycle beautiful mountains or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of this family-run centre. The food is organic and delicious, mostly home-grown and local; breakfast will set you up for anything. You either stay in an eco-friendly house – Three Towers – or in pretty chalets in the trees, straight out of a child’s picture book. Almost everything inside is recycled and deliciously eccentric: find a bright hall with a chandelier made from shells, a large dining room with a chunky table and chairs, comfortable spaces to sit and relax in, colourful bedrooms with crisp white sheets, feather and down pillows and a creative Moroccan feel. Bathrooms gleam with modern fittings, tiles have pretty pebbles sunk into them. Outside: acres to explore, wonderful woods for scampering, vegetable and flower gardens to wander, the busy stable yard for admiring horses and riders, and a play area for children. Hunky-dory heaven for groups of friends or big families.
