Hook Lodge

Co. Wexford
Bed & Breakfast

Escape to this relaxing, sporty-if-you-like, fun place – in farming country close to unspoilt sandy beaches and a good pub

4 rooms

Rooms sleep 2

Couples wanting a break from busy lives will be well looked after here. It’s a house full of good energy in a lovely, remote-ish outpost of southeast Ireland – seductive whether you want to do a lot or not.

Fill your days with sea sports, strolls on unspoilt bays, visits to ancient sites or simply finishing that book. Personal trainer Tristan leads beach bootcamps, and you can join local yoga classes.

You have a choice of differently delectable breakfasts every day: creamy porridge, with fruit, nuts and honey, mushroom omelette with chilli cheese beans, sausages, bacon, white and black pudding… well worth getting up for.

Tristan Fahy

With careers in nursing and in marketing, Emma and Tristan met in London and hatched a plan to set up a modern, relaxing B&B together; somewhere special. They fell for the Hook Peninsula, found Hook Lodge in record time and furnished it with finds from each of the cities they’ve lived in: London, Tokyo, Sydney, New York. Their caring enthusiasm and upbeat style make for a great atmosphere; the aim is that you leave refreshed.
