The Experience

Lovers of music will love trilingual Laura; she throws private concerts in the garden villa, displays emerging artists and the house ivories are dying to be tickled – by musicians and amateurs alike.

Sit in the garden and enjoy the birdsong and colourful parrots, the soundtrack continues inside with jazz and classical collections – select your soundtrack then sink into a generous armchair to enjoy it.

The early 20th-century building retains original features like Art Nouveau stuccos and frescoes, and the comfortable lounge is home to fresh and savoury breakfast treats. Each room is uniquely decorated – another of Laura’s passions. Spend the day wandering, stop only for espressos and pastries and live as the Romans do. Choose from one of many high-quality restaurants within 20-minutes away – reserve a table at trattoria Da Lucia.

Reviews

To be able to stay in one of Rome's most desirable residential neighbourhoods in Laura's pristine and spacious home at such accessible rates makes Villa Urbani an exceptional find. Add the garden and rooftop spaces for relaxing after a day out, the proximity to the characteristic Trastevere neighbourhood and lush parks and the weekly in-home concerts organized, you have a winner!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here at this beautiful villa. The room was clean, with gorgeous high ceilings. It was quiet and relaxing - and only a short walk down into Travestere and away from the busyness of Rome. There was plenty of breakfast with a nice cappucino. We could help ourself to tea later on in the day after miles of walking around Rome. We will definitely come again!

The description sums up perfectly the exquisite qualities of Villa Urbani. We were lucky enough to attend one of Laura's concerts, which was a great delight. The cool, verdant setting of the villa is a welcome antidote to the heat and bustle of the city, yet it's very accessible. There is s bus you can take to the centre but we were happy to walk everywhere. So, all in all, the perfect place for a city break. Laura is a charming host.
