Bed & Breakfast

Traditional Ligurian village house with cool, spacious rooms, lush gardens and rooftop terrace with horizon-wide views; charming host, too

Rooms sleep 2

It’s a steep walk up – but that’s part of the charm of this tall, stone, blue-shuttered house at the top of the village. Its greatest charm is up more steps: a rooftop terrace, shaded by arches, with mesmerising views over olive groves to the sea. Breakfast here on Laura’s homemade bread and cakes, jams and local honey; come evening, drink in the sunsets. A beautifully uncomplicated house, the two light-filled bedrooms, with traditional tiled floors and shuttered windows, have their own charming sitting rooms. Furnishings are simple, prettily rustic and inviting: the views over tree-cloaked valleys to the sea, enchanting. Bathrooms sparkle with large showers and organic soaps. Well-travelled Laura is warm and open, with strong environmental principles, reflected in the house and food. Midway between hills and sea, you can hike, cycle, swim, explore ancient villages, take a dip in crystal-clear rivers. Or doze in a hammock in the garden, tumbling with roses, lavender and clematis. Buy a picnic (Dolcedo is 4.5km), pick fruit and tomatoes from the garden and eat under the olive trees. A simple charmer.

What a blessing staying at this place! It's one of those places where the people make love visible in the essence of all! We are so grateful we could spend a few nights here. Touched by the beauty in every aspect. In the homemade food during breakfast with a seaview, 'if you have no time to bake your own bread, you have no time to live' and Laura lives, and not only the bread, but the cake, jam, drinks ... olives from own garden and much more. On 15 minutes drive from beautiful Imperia. Dream place, lovely rooms, great atmosphere ... yes, a 10+! Thank you so much! We'll be back! Lili & Ivo

Ududemà B&B is in a picturesque setting with lovely views of the sea and hills. We enjoyed our stay with Laura listening to her funny stories. Laura is a really lovely host with a warm and relaxed approach to her guests ensuring we had all we needed for a fantastic time. Perhaps the greatest part of the experience was Laura herself - excellent English, really friendly, some great stories, and a great listener. A fantastic host and super to boot. This is a great getaway for 5 nights.

Ududema is a delightful B&B in a quiet village close to the small town of Dolcedo, inland from Imperia. I have nothing but praise for the house and accommodation and would happily have stayed longer than 2 nights. Laura, the owner, is charming and helpful (and speaks excellent english). Her breakfasts were delicious and I still recall her emerging from the kitchen with a freshly baked focaccia which is the best I have eaten in Italy. I look forward to returning before too long.

Everything about this place is fantastic. Laura is lovely (v helpful in finding out about train times and prices for us). Couldn't recommend more highly. Beautifully restful place and garden. We also enjoyed an afternoon in Imperia 20 mins away but loved staying in the peace of Udadama. Lovely breakfasts. Really hospitable..

Laura really has a lovely place. My wife and I had a fabulous time there and could have spent the whole time in the roof loggia. Breakfasts were a real treat with cake cooked by Laura.

This beautiful B&B lovingly restored by Laura and Guillermo is a fantastic place to start your exploration of Liguria. It is situated in a mountain village above the town Dulcedo famed for its different oils and picturesque setting. Ududema has all that you need for a fantastic stay. The rooms are very comfortable with spectacular views from bedroom and sitting room. The breakfast each morning is taken on the terrace overlooking the hillsides. The breakfasts are delicious changing daily with lovely touches of homemade food from Laura. Sometimes we wouldn't leave the breakfast for a couple of h

My partner and I had an idyllic five days at Ududema. Laura was so welcoming and we felt instantly relaxed. The B&B is beautifully decorated whilst retaining a rustic feel and breakfast was wonderful. The area provided lots to explore. The pools in the forest are a must and we enjoyed spending time an the lovely garden, but you don't need to go far up the coast to explore tumbling old mountain towns and sandy beaches. We'd love to visit again!

We spent three nights at Ududemà B&B in June 2016. We enjoyed the cosy and quiet place in the hills very much. Laura, the owner, was very pleasant and prepared daily fresh breakfast, that was delicious. Beaches are about 15 minutes by car. We recommand this B&B to everybody who wants to relax in Liguria.

A highlight of our recent roadtrip was 3 nights spent at Ududemà. It’s close to Imperia, but feels like a world away. The house is in a small village above Dolcedo, in the olive groves with a view down the valley to the sea from the terrace - perfect for the delicious breakfasts. The house is charming & the room was cool & spacious. Laura made us feel very welcome. A memorable evening was spent in the garden sharing a table with our hosts; antipasti & home cooked pizzas; full moon rising over the hill; fireflies flickering around the garden, & songs of frogs & crickets. Really loved our stay in this wonderful B&B with very nice, warm and helpful owner. A gem with beautiful interior, great view (even the sea is visible), in a picturesque and artistic area and a lot of space per guest in the rooms. The breakfast was served on the upper floor, partly open, for a cool breeze and stunning view. The food was tasty and extensive, with a smashing homemade cake and local products. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed at Ududema at the end of June for three nights. It is a beautiful, peaceful spot nestled up in the hills. The rooms are really spacious, full of charm and thoughtful touches. Laura is warm and friendly and her breakfasts are delicious with an array of homemade jams, cakes and breads using locally sourced ingredients. You can enjoy it all from the lovely roof top terrace. We would highly recommend Ududema and would love to return one day in the future!

Beautiful location with stunning views. The building was lovely and full of charm. The roof terrace was delightful and the perfect place to relax. Laura is a wonderful host and provided us with a delicious, healthy and fresh breakfast.

We liked everything! A very warm welcome and hosts that truly want to make you feel at home. The guesthouse itself is lovely, with great aesthetics and at the same time simple but elegant. The room was spacious and gorgeous with a magnificent view of the sea which is a bit further away. Breakfast served at the fabulous terrace, made up of homemade delicacies is one of the highlights! We loved our stay there, wish we could stay longer!

We had 3 unforgettable days in B&B Ududema. Everything was just perfect. Especially Laura, our host, the supernice house and the best breakfast ever will always stay in our memory. We will definitely come back.
