Vezio is, in essence, a small friendly holiday village, draped around a medieval castle with panoramic views stretching over Lake Como and the mountains. Several lovely houses and cottages share a tennis court, a huge games room (with table football), swimming pool, large lawn and heaps of outdoor space, so you won’t be bumping into other people much. The children may play football or rounders while you nod off in the shade of one of numerous trees, or sunbathe in peace beside your very own pool; you can also look over the 12th-century castle. Large or small parties will be happy here: kitchens are state of the art with Villeroy & Boch, pretty bedrooms have fresh painted walls, crisp linens, heavy curtains and 18th-century floral furnishings, bathrooms are spotless and functional. Stock up in the delicatessens of Perledo, walk to restaurants (one lies at the foot of the castle) or hop in the car to beautiful Varenna. Tons of space to explore and play makes this place a dream for families. Vezio itself is a sweet hamlet of church bells and cobblestones with a steep rocky path to Varenna below.
No question about it. This is the perfect location for families and extended families to holiday together.
