The Experience

House, orchards, breakfasts, roses, owners… in the foothills of Monterubbiano, ten minutes from the sea, these all add up to unexpected treasure. Your gentle, happy, delightful hosts, with a little English between them, fill the house with artistic flourishes and love doing B&B. Emanuela’s sunny personality infuses everything; on the first night Emidio will take you to a local restaurant to see you don’t get lost. The kitchen/breakfast room, exquisitely Italian, is all blues and creams, its lace tablecloth strewn with rose petals then laden with garden cherries, peaches, pears, fresh artichokes frittata, mulberry tarts, warm bread from Moresco – a different treat every day. Too much? Borrow a picnic basket and take some for lunch. There’s a jacuzzi in the garden; shady bowers are scented with roses, honeysuckle and jasmine; views are long and you’re welcome to share the salone. Bright airy bedrooms, each with a sitting area, have pale colourwashed walls, embroidered linen and pillows topped with sprigs of lavender at night. A paradise of peace, hospitality and blissful breakfasts.

I cannot imagine a nicer venue: the area, the accommodation, the hosts and the crowning glory - the food! To add some detail: the room was beautiful - exquisitely furnished and decorated; the garden delightful; the facilities - including a kitchen just for guest use if required; the breakfast the best I have ever had anywhere in the world with local ingredients, the vast majority home cooked; the ability to take excess breakfast as a picnic (and who would refuse); and the most caring and engaging hosts. Perfection!

Andy, Rotherfield

Glorious Italian hospitality in full flourish! In the refreshing hill breeze, nestled in the idyllic landscape of Marche, sits a lovely house surrounded by herbs and flowers. This little corner of the world being well cared for is an understatement and the time and attention Emanuela and Emidio give to making Vento Di Rose absolutely enchanting, is an accurate reflection of how at home they made us feel, when staying there. It was an absolute tonic sitting in the gardens and looking at the view or star-gazing at night. The breakfast/picnic is unlike anything we’d experienced. Just wonderful!

Vento di Rose was absolutely charming. Ours hosts were marvellous, true Sawday people and the four of us who stayed could not recommend this B and B more highly. The bedrooms delightful, the views spectacular and best of all the breakfasts which went on and on and then we were invited to pack left overs into provided plastic containers for lunch. We were also taken by Emidio to a local restaurant where we experience the best meal of our holiday. I do hope we will return one day and we wish Emanuela and Emidio our very best wishes. We would like to reinforce our comments to "Sawday" and also to the the write up in the guide. Vento di Rose is in a most beautiful part of Italy with magnificent views in all directions. However, it is the kindness and hospitality of Emmanuela and Emidio which will be a lasting memory. They are wonderful and we just hope that we may return before too long. Our thanks and love to them both.
