The Experience

Relax in a hot tub on the edge of the olive groves; hear the wind in the trees. These two chic retreats – one a trullo, the other a former store house – lie 100m apart, each a stroll from reception.

This young complex stands in the Valle d’Itria, a patchwork of green fields and tiny winding roads. The trullo, with its double-cone roof and cube-housed shower, has a bedroom under the first roof, and a jacuzzi under the other. The store-house suite, which is smaller, has its hot tub outside… at night you can soak under the stars. The owner, happy to shuttle you anywhere, comes in from Bari (40km) each day to set up a tasty breakfast by reception.

Set off on the (electric) bikes for Locorontondo (2km) and explore the beautiful Old Town. Sit in the sun and sip an Aperol spritz as you watch the world go by. Or dine under fairy lights at Restaurant U’Curdunn – the food is authentic and delicious.

Accommodation

Reviews

The style and tranquillity is calming and your time here will give you a renewed lustre for life. It's a very private little corner of the Valle d'Itria where you can relax and recharge in the cool context of olive trees and green spaces. It's near to all the attractions of the area around Bari while preserving the intimate Trulli experience.

Location

The neighbourhood

The road rolls up and over the hills to Locorotondo, (‘the round place’). This shimmering white town is one of the 'borghi più belli d'Italia’ and is the less famous sister of World Heritage site Alberobello (9km), known for its stunning trulli and ornate baroque churches. Locorotondo’s sparkling white wine is famous in Italy; be sure to take some home.

Introducing

Antonio Crisigiovanni

Delightful Antonio and his girlfriend are from Bari and chose to invest in this beautiful corner of Puglia despite not having roots here. "We were lucky enough to find a place in the countryside where sunrise and sunset meet the colours of the earth and olive trees.” Antonio meets and greets and comes in each day to prepare breakfast. He is happy to help you in any way possible.
