The Experience

This beautifully designed home is the brainchild of a young local arthitect. The glass and steel ‘floating’ structure has an indoor tropical garden and views soar from every room. Donatello, an expert on the area, will greet you and is on hand for anything: wine-tastings, private guides and chefs, yoga or cooking classes can also be set up with a bit of notice.

There are two main living rooms, one with a hanging fireplace downstairs by the open-plan kitchen and dining space and the other upstairs so those in need of peace can escape with a book. A welcome hamper includes a bottle of wine and there’s a good coffee maker with capsules. You’re surrounded by much greenery, a wisteria and jasmine covered pergola for outdoor eating, plenty of places to sit and a wonderfully long slimline pool for perfect laps. There’s a pizza oven down here too.

Drive to beaches in ten minutes, or to coastal restaurants in the evening for fresh seafood.

Reviews

Be one of the first lucky guests to stay in this super contemporary design home with all the trimmings and close to everything. Immersed in the silent olive groves with panoramic views out to the sea's horizon at a distant from any angle, enjoy the magic lap pool with water's edge lined up to the horizon, an aperitivo on the rooftop, or an alfresco dinner under the pergola. Truly unique.

Location

The neighbourhood

You're in a rural area with narrow stone lined roads dividing small plots of olives or vineyards. Set out for fairly flat hikes and cycles. Visit lovely villages including Polignano, overlooking the Adriatic - enjoy an aperitivo at the bar La Bodeguita, wander the narrow cobbled streets with artisan's shops or treat yourself to classic Pugliese food at the Osteria dei Mulini. Monopoli is 8km.
