The Experience

Drive through rolling farmland, up past the almond and olive groves, until you can climb no further. This is it: stunning 360 degree views over the island and, on a clear day, Mount Etna in the distance. Silvia’s family have farmed for generations. She’s passionately organic – grows olives, almonds, wheat, vegetables – and loves to share both recipes and kitchen garden. The farmhouse is new, its apartments bright and simple, furnished in unfussy style with cream floor tiles, modern pine and colourful fabrics. Open-plan living areas include tiny kitchens for rustling up simple meals. Rooms won’t win design prizes but are spotless and airy and have superlative views. Silvia is open and welcoming; you’ll be won over by her warmth and her cooking. Breakfast on homemade bread, cakes and jams; dinner is a feast of Sicilian dishes. A great spot from which to explore the island – castles, temples, Palermo, Taormina – or enjoy the views from the lovely large garden, with pool, terrace and shady pavilion. Space, peace, delightful people.

We had a wonderful three day stay and in retrospect should have made it five. Sylvia and Bruno were so welcoming and included us in a magical day gathering hazelnuts. We had breakfast and dinner each day and loved the meals including a pasta recipe from Sylvia’s grandmother. It’s a great base for exploring the region and on our one day off we lazed by the pool, reading and swimming. I highly recommend Agriturismo Sillitti.

Peaceful, beautiful and completely relaxing, thank you to the wonderful hosts Sylvia and Bruno. We stayed for 10 nights (2 adults and 2 older teens) and had a great holiday, alternating days out with days reading/chilling by the wonderful pool. Sylvia and Bruno were lovely (- thanks for the organic fruit and veg!), the accommodation was comfortable and the outside spaces were brilliant, especially the large terrace from which we had stunning views of the setting sun.

May is a good time to visit Sicily. We found The Sillitti farm surrounded by lush green farmland, wildflowers and a lovely garden. It proved to be a good choice. Silvia and Bruno are warm and welcoming .Rosa a true gem who cooked us a wonderful meal. Our apartment had a roomy bathroom and bedroom, living space perfect for the two of us ( maybe a bit cramped for 4) Ideally situated for visiting places like Agrigento, Casale Romana, Aidone( very nice archeological museum) There is a lovely swimmingpool area, but we didn’t use it as the water was still quite cold....

Charming hosts and wonderfully natural place to stay. We arrived to a welcome of coffee and cake (we have brought the recipe home!) and a perfect pool for our teenagers. We ate wonderful home-grown and home-cooked food and chatted to Silvia at length about her farm and her efforts to remain organic. We felt wonderfully connected to the countryside and came away with a real flavour of Sicily. If we are visiting again we will be sure to return to stay

We had a wonderful 3 nights at this amazing agriturismo. Clean, and comfortable accomodations. Beautiful views of this beautiful organic farm from the terrace. Well located to explore Agricento and surrounds and then relax by the pool after a day in the Sicilian sun. Breakfast and dinner are wonderful. Silvia and Bruno's hospitality is warm and sincere. Agriturismo Sillitti is highly recommended.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Sillitti Farm. Silvia and Bruno were charming and welcoming hosts. The location is secluded, quiet and scenic, but is also very easily accessible from the highways network. Silvia runs an organic farm, so all her produce is fresh and wholesome. Her cooking, which we sampled on two nights, was excellent. The choice of dishes was highly varied - yet all Sicilian in style. Breakfast was also fresh, tasty and plentiful. The conversation at the breakfast and dinner table was entertaining and it also helped inform us about local culture, foods and tourist sights.

Lovely peaceful place to stay. Hosts were charming and speak excellent English. Food was all homemade and delicious. Would definitely recommend. Great pool too.

A really fabulous place to stay. We couldn't recommend it more highly and only wish we had spent our entire stay in Sicily here.

I had not thought of staying in the centre of Sicily but guest feedback of Silvia and Bruno's hospitality and the location of the farm was a decision-maker. The welcome made us feel we were revisiting old friends, partly due to Silvia's friendly and informative email responses. Beautiful location, comfortable accommodation, Silvia's delicious Sicilian dinners and cakes and tarts for breakfast to die for. Having a swimming pool was a bonus, tempting us to spend several days relaxing in between our sight-seeing trips. Highly recommended holiday destination.

We had planned to stay for 3 nights and stayed for 5 - we voted with our feet! This is a lovely house away in the middle of their working (arable, fruit, olive) farm. The rooms have everything one could want; there are terraces, plenty of space around and a splendid large swimming pool. Silvia and Bruno couldn't have made us more welcome, made splendid breakfast and dinner - we ate with them. Note: Do not think of eating dinner anywhere else - Silvia is a terrific cook. Thoroughly recommend this place to stay - as well as a base for Agrigento, Piazza Armerina etc.

Fantastic place, great views, comfortable rooms. The hospitality was exceptional with superb breakfasts and evening meals cooked by Josie (Sylvia was away some of the time) were delightful.

It was a wonderful 6 nights that we spent at this amazing b&b. Clean, spacious, and comfortable accomodations. Beautiful views of this lovingly tended farm from the terrace. And the food...delicious and plentiful! Silvia and Bruno's welcome is warm and sincere. This place is a gem!
