Denise was a charming and most helpful and accommodating host. We had not realised that we were staying in her fabulous home until we arrived. We took the suite and one additional room. The accommodation is finished to an exacting high standard all designed by Denise herself. We enjoyed a feast for breakfast each morning on the terrace overlooking Etna. We visited Taormina and Etna during our short stay. Each evening we visited a local restaurant. Take note that the streets are narrow in Castiglione so a small car is a must.

Donna Denise’s hospitality is exceptional, her home is tasteful and luxurious, the views are breathtaking & the breakfasts are delicious. This remarkable village is a wonderful place to explore on foot. We arrived without a car, being driven there by a driver from Palermo & spent the next five days exploring the village on foot, and taking some trips with the fantastic driver, Carmello of Dream Cars/Trips. Denise put us in touch with him. With him we had trips to Taormina, Mount Etna & it’s vineyard’s

A peaceful, relaxing haven with wonderful views and a perfect hostess. Denise was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, our room was fabulous and the bed was the most comfortable in Sicily!

Denise was the most generous and helpful hostess. The suite decor and appointments are stunning, bed super comfy and the view from our bedroom window of Etna and surrounds was breathtaking. Breakfast was an interesting and abundant array of local produce and bottomless cups of coffee. Glamorous and sumptuous are the words that comes to mind

Denise's house and hospitality are amazing. The house is situated on the top of the village, with stunning view of Mount Etna and the village. Indoors, it is beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in 2 rooms: one which is carved out of the rock, and the elegant suite with amazing balcony, bathroom and library. Every detail is thoughtfully planned and tastefully fine: from mattress to the pictures on the walls. And Denise: great hostess. She (and Oksana) welcomed us warmly, saw to every detail of our needs, entertained us for aperitivo and an interesting chat. Highly recommended!
