The Experience

This whitewashed villa is set in the Madonie mountain range overlooking Cefalù and has impressive views down to the sea. There are a few other villas nearby but you’ll feel totally private.

Angelo manages the property and can arrange visits to wineries and cookery classes as well as tours of the area or of Palermo. Find a basket of typical Sicilian products and the basics in the kitchen, help yourself to fruit from the garden in season, use the barbecue and dine al fresco. Gibilmanna, 1.5 km away, has a minimarket and a simple pizzeria.

The shaded terrace has cooling sea breezes or you can swim in the pool. Buzzing Cefalù, a 15-minute drive away, has shops and restaurants both along the seafront promenade and in the cobbled lanes of the historic town centre. Palermo is a 45-minute drive.

Reviews

I was really impressed by the position of the house as weel as the exquisite taste in the choice of the interiors. Lazing on this terrace while grilling some fresh fish on the BBQ then serving it with a glass of chilled white wine with close friends and family must be a cure for the spirit ! Beautiful house, would strongly recommend it to all nature lovers.

Location

The neighbourhood

The villa is located in Gibilmanna, a small hamlet in the Madonie mountains. There are hiking trails close to the property, and the nearby village of Castelbuono is famous for "manna", a resin obtained from ash trees and used to make sweets and herbal medicine. The area is very lively in summer with music and food festivals.

Introducing

Massimo Villas Collection

The villa is one of several owned by Massimo Provenza who started his hospitality business in 2003. As well as renting out property they offer tailor-made tours to delve deeply into the region, with wine tastings, a chef and pizza from the oven if there is one. Each villa is looked after by a caretaker who will welcome you and make sure you have everything you need.
