The Experience

Iggy travelled far and wide before he realised all he wanted was home – we’re very glad he did. Start your day with sea views and a dip in the infinity pool; breakfast on fresh ricotta, prosciutto and breads in the pergola next door or in your room.

Sicily offers total relaxation. Head to the beach for vitamin D and watch old boats bob around the port; pick up cherry tomatoes from the outdoor market – the area is famous for them – and pair them with Ragusan cheese for the perfect picnic.

Choose a book from the library, stock up on snacks (there’s an honesty bar) and take a break from the sun in the shaded pine garden. Spend your evening wandering market stalls in Marina di Ragusa port town – the view of lights over the marina is best enjoyed hand in hand with your favourite person.

Accommodation

Reviews

It was a surprise and a delight to come across such a large property so close to this beach resort town. Super host, Iggy's aim is to share his passion for this place and vicinity, to organize and direct his guests to activities during their stay which will become indelible memories, igniting the senses. Comfortable accommodation and the relaxing ambience make it all very special.

We had a wonderful three days at Mangiabove in September.....our favourite place in our two week visit to south-eastern Sicily. Mangiabove is truly a special place to stay.....we loved the peace and tranquility, our immaculate and cool studio with comfortable bed, crisp linens and well equipped kitchenette, and the beautiful swimming pool and garden where we spent many hours relaxing and admiring the view to the sea. Iggy is a charming and kind host who is passionate about his home.....thank you for sharing it with us!

Introducing

Ignazio Civello

Ignazio, affectionately known as Iggy to his friends (and you will be one soon) runs the show here with his wife Lara. Their love for Siciliy and this little slice of it is clear - the place has been beautifully renovated. World travellers, they have brought pieces of their trips with them and filled the garden with tropical plants and cactus. Tell Iggy about your holiday wishlist - he knows the best beaches, rambles, restaurants and shops
