The Experience

Cypress-lined roads, a patchwork of hills and the stunning, postcard-perfect Castello di Poppiano surrounds – you’ll be happy here. A bottle of local wine, fruits and one of Sandra’s delicious homemade cakes will greet you. As wonderful as the Owner herself!

On a morning pad barefoot straight to the garden and breakfast on the terrace or under the arching jasmine, the scent is almost as good as the birdsong soundtrack.

Days can be spent exploring the Tuscan countryside. The adventurous can hike trails from the door, bike or ride the Tuscan hills; the bravest can take a hot air balloon ride. The place comes alive in summer months with folklore events, vineyard tours and festivals a regular feature. Go truffle-hunting and cook your bounty – Sandra can organise a tour.
On an evening: stoke the firepit in the olive grove and stargaze – the nights are dark and clear.

Reviews

Costalmandorlo is ideal for guests in search of a quiet countryside setting for strolling under cypresses, through olive groves and past a stunning historic castle on the way to buy goodies at the local alimentari. Generous Sandra takes very good care of her guests. The rustic farmhouse is comfortable and stylish. Unwind completely in the gardens as you listen to birdsong and sip wine.
