The Experience

Heaven in the middle of heavenly Tuscany; both the place and the people are impressive. You can be as private as you like, buffered from the world by forests and olive groves, in this peaceful hamlet that’s also a family home. Orsa and Fiore’s renovation’s a hugely successful mix of rustic and modern, using local materials and sustainable technologies. Light, uncluttered interiors are really comfortable – and practical – decorated with clean lines, bold and pastel colours. Apartments La Villa and La Scala are in the main building, La Corte in a separate one. Take one, two or all; self-cater or opt for B&B. Orsa’s passionate about the history and preparation of food, her dinners are not to be missed, and she has a great kitchen/teaching space in the main Villa – a perfect setting for learning about Tuscan food. Fiore’s an archaeologist and very knowledgeable about local history. Take trips to hotspots like Siena, Florence, San Gimignano; visit castles, wineries, cheese and honey producers – on foot or by bike. Cool off in the elegant pool and relax in the thriving garden – flitful of fireflies on summer evenings.

Reviews

Hidden in the wonderful hills of Tuscany, Personatina is a true gem for a relaxing retreat. Everything from the room design to the outdoor space is curated in all details, the people are amazing and we'll make you feel home. Lots to explore in the surroundings and very close to Siena. I would definitely go back and recommend to all my friends!

This is the second year in a row that I have chosen to use Borgo Personatina as a base for retreats that I host in Tuscany and once again my attendees and I were welcomed into this beautiful hamlet and invited to maker ourselves at home. The rooms themselves are upscale country farmhouse, many of them offering sweeping views of the valley from the rear of the house. The salt water pool is gorgeous - even if it is too cold to swim, it's beautiful and calming to sit beside. I am sure my travels will bring me back many times in the future to enjoy the hospitality of Fiore and Orsa again.

If you have dreamt about living your own "Under the Tuscan Sun" experience, Borgo Personatina is the place for you. The 'borgo' is carefully restored to offer all of the commodities of modern living without giving up any of its country charm. The landscape surrounding the Villa embodies the quintessential Tuscan country side postcard views and the pool in the spacious backyard provides much welcome respite during the hot summer afternoons. We have been returning customers and every time we fall in love with the place and the gracious hosts a little bit more.

Ombretta, Miami beach

We stayed with our children and friends. Very welcoming, the pool is fantastic and breakfast is excellent! Highly recommended, we will be back!

Local points of interest from Fernanda Bocca
