The
Experience

Relax on the balcony walkway that overlooks the inner courtyard: table and chairs await. This sweet apartment (with sofabeds, sleeping four) lies on the first floor of an old palazzo, opposite the Conservatorio di Musica. To one side of the street entrance is a flower shop; to the other, a small bistro-bar.

Inside is cosy and inviting, with an open-plan dining, kitchen and living room, and a lovely light lofty bedroom topped with a gold chandelier. Take a pampering shower before bed, enjoy a deep sleep, and wake to wondrous frescoes.

Close by is Santa Anastasia, the largest church in Verona. To the left, discover the mosaic-floored Santa Maria Assunta; to the right (five minutes) Piazza Erbe, vibrant with bars, cafes and a daily market. For the nearest delicious meal, Signora recommends Alcova Del Frate, a three-minute stroll.
