The Experience

The approach to the farmhouse of gently rolling hills, woodlands and rice fields means by the time you arrive you’re already feeling pretty tranquil. The sense of calm will stay for days. Look for the nod to the farm’s heritage – famous bullfighter Christo Gonzales still lives here and his cape sits proudly in the entrance. The communal spaces, inside and out, make this a social kind of place but if the mood takes you there are plenty of private spaces to curl up and daydream.

Christophe’s breakfast is served in the kitchen – the fabulous spread will serve you well for a day doing exactly as you please. Dinner can be arranged in advance – vegetables are grown on the farm, naturally.

Pick up something from the honesty bar and enjoy whilst sitting under the wild olive trees – spy the sea in the distance. After a ‘long’ day the jacuzzi awaits – best enjoyed with good conversation and a glass of something cool and delicious.

Reviews

We received an incredibly warm welcome from Bruno and Christophe, complete with delicious canapes. The location is ideal for those wanting to escape busy lives and completely relax in utter peace. The couple's background in hospitality is clear, and they have thought of every detail to make their guests as welcome as possible. It's clear they love the region, and that is infectious

Location

The neighbourhood

Jump in the car for 20 minutes and you arrive in Vejer - supermarkets provide supplies for the BBQ or take your pick of the tapas bars and restaurants. The coast of Costa de la Luz is a beauty and Barbate is worth a visit just for the seafood; famed for its Atlantic bluefin tuna caught using the traditional almadraba method. Head to El Campero for a Michelin starred meal to write home about.
