The Experience

Relax on your balcony facing the mountains. The air is pure and the Guardiaro river teems with fish… listen to goats’ bells and birdsong. The setting is a dream and you could stay here all day.

This lovely riverside posada goes back 120 years, its feel traditional and its style boho chic. It’s a year-round destination, special in every season: sofas by the fire in winter, and plenty of shaded seating spots in summer. You get a well-stocked honesty bar, a smart kitchen with plenty of gear, a firepit and barbecue and a couple of good restaurants in the village, a couple of minutes on foot.

Here, between the Alcornocales and the Sierra de Grazalema, hiking is the thing; Karen organises pick-ups and knows all the guides. Eat in hilltop Gaucín, marvel at Vultures Canyon (both are close). Discover remote Ronda, ‘the city of dreams’, a 40-minute drive.

Location

The neighbourhood

An ancient water channel runs through the lush grounds, and the river lulls you to sleep. Bask on the terraces, slip into the pool. Hike, bike and ride; recover with a massage. Hop in the car to Gaucín - a haven for artists still - or set off for small vineyards and taste the Ronda wines. Trains run to Ronda and Granada from the little station at Cortes de la Frontera - a ten-minute drive.

Our area is known for the incredible walks between the white villages and cork forests, We offer guided walking with Guy Hunter-Watts , who is well known for his walking bookings in the Serrania de Ronda area.
Mountain bikes and E bikes are a great way to explore , we offer 2 day min hire , and either self guided or guided tours
Gastronomic heaven ! Our area is full of excellent restaurants , you will enoy the very best of Andalucian and fusion Interntaional food whilst visiting this area

Local artesans are inspired by the beauty of the Serrania de Ronda . Locally we are blessed with exceptional artists and artesans producing everything from cork handbags, ceramics and hand woven wool blankets .

Introducing

Karen Pedrazzini

Karen moved to Spain in 1985, ran a successful hotel for 14 years, and is now back in the saddle. With her architect daughter she has turned a run-down village inn into a place of beauty and character. Warm and friendly yet discreet, she lives close by with her dog Nicky, and organises everything for you. Nothing is too much trouble for Karen: "I am so pleased to be back in the business again."
