A sweet Mallorcan hotel whose bland face hides a real sanctuary on the edge of Artà. Its enchanting terraced garden of patios, pool, pond and shady sitting areas offers plenty of private corners; its twelve original, lovingly-designed rooms are supremely comfortable with strong colours that never overpower you, exotic moods (Moroccan, Mallorcan…) restrained by taste and good sense, doors to the garden for the lucky few. Original beams, fireplaces and inlaid stone floors keep excellent company with stylish contemporary interior design and modern art. In the dining room, beaded chandeliers hang low over solid wood tables and hard backed chairs upholstered in soft grey chenille add a touch of elegance. Bathrooms, three with jet-massage tubs, all with super smellies and luxuriously large towels, are newly done in marble. They make their own limoncello and lemon curd with home-grown lemons. A wonderful place for couples and friends wanting peace, quiet and privacy, great walking, unspoilt beaches and a choice of five golf courses (the less agile might find too many level changes).
