The Experience

Amazing views – from private terraces – encompass the comings and goings of the ancient natural harbour of the Port of Mahon and the lovely bay of Cala Rata. There’s plenty of well-designed, grown-up space for ten, both in and outdoors and over three floors  – think relaxation, exotic plants, an invitingly arty mix of traditional and modern – and don’t fight over the hammock. You’ve a swimming pool with summerhouse, bar and BBQ; unspoilt beaches and well-signed footpaths minutes’ away. If all this sounds appealing, The owners (both are artists) have also laid on extremely comfortable bedrooms with modern bathrooms, white linen and colourful throws. All have sea views; two their own terrace. There’s an attractively light and airy dining and sitting room – wrought and cushioned chairs, pale sofas – and an excellently equipped kitchen and utility room. All this only 20 minutes’ drive from the airport, with parking opposite the unassuming, multi-stepped, street-side of the villa. It’s not far to shops and good fish restaurants. An easy and enchanting place.
