The Experience

Cyclists, hikers, sporty folk and families will love it here; a 25m outdoor pool, bicycles to hire and acres of green land to lose yourself in. An action-packed holiday awaits. Gareth and Fiona will help organise your daily adventures – from cycling the various trails to the best spot for open water swimming. The kids are guaranteed to be entertained; let them loose on the ping pong table and they’re soon to make friends. Ease away the day’s aches with a sauna or trip to the massage room.

Breakfast is served family-style with big tables and friendly conversation a given. Fruits, cereals and your favourite eggs. Homes in the medieval village of Besalu – a ten-minute drive – open as restaurants in the evening serving up dishes to please all and Gareth can arrange your taxi.

If your daily exertions have tired you Fiona will cook up something hearty and delicious; Catalan beef, chicken stews or mushroom risotto are her specialities.

You’re in the foothills of the Pyrenees and in the back garden of a volcanic national park; the promise of adventure is in the air. Pop to the village of Serinya for fresh picnic supplies - it’s just a five-minute cycle away. Dali’s birthplace and a taste of the city life can be found just 30 minutes away in Girona. Expect winding streets, river views and medieval walls.

Mas Pelegri is an off grid ecologic hotel for people who enjoy the nature and outdoors. Hiking and biking routes and emergency back up when biking and hiking are included in every stay.
Mas Pelegri used to be a Pilgrim's house. We have rebuilt the place trying to keep the ambience while building the hotel to be as ecologic as possible.. The hotel is also a place to meet many interesting people from all over the world.
Onsite there is a 25 metre long pool, a gym, yoga studio, sauna, table tennis and road and trail bike rentals.
Coaches and guides in biking, triathlon, yoga, yoga trapeze, bike fit and a sports massage therapist all onsite.
The hotel is set in the Catalan countryside with quiet country lanes and off road trails right from the door. There is very little light or noise pollution. But you can be in Girona or Figueres within 25 mins drive and Barcelona 1.5 hours.
The hotel is just 5 mins drive from medieval Besalu and the pristine Olympic lake town of Banyoles where the ancient weekly market still continues today. The oldest prehistoric caves are situated only 2kms from the hotel. The area is steeped in history.
