The
Experience

Your wine-themed suites are on the first floor of a 19th-century building on a small one-way street fanning off from the main square. Daniel is an attentive host who lives nearby; he’ll come to meet you and show you around or you can check in on your phone and let yourself in.

Find all mod-cons and much comfort, with spectacular kitchens and flat-screen TVs in both the living room and bedroom. Excellent insulation means there’s no outside noise when the windows are closed although there are bars and shops right below you.

Daniel’s an experienced hotelier whose family own vineyards in La Rioja – he’ll advise on the best bodegas and restaurants in the area to visit and can arrange special discounts for his guests; he’ll also happily drive you to dinner and pick you up afterwards.

Reviews

A better placed and better appointed apartment would be hard to find. Right in the centre of things in Haro, with bars, tapas and restaurants just minutes away. The apartment had everything we needed and the attention to detail was amazing. The host, Daniel, is just so helpful with advice and tour booking. I can thoroughly recommend a stay here. It is a gem.

Carolyn, Bristol

Our suite was very modern, clean, comfortable and spacious. Our host, Daniel, was very helpful and accommodating. The location around the corner from the historic city center is ideal, and it is only a 10-minute walk from the Barrio de la Estación wine district. Being a wine-themed hotel, they had a nice selection of local wine in a wine fridge in the kitchen for purchase, which was a nice touch

Andrea, Madrid

If I wanted to explore La Rioja region and wished to stay in one of the emblematic towns that offered amazing wine and food, then the W&S Suites in Haro would be my choice. Extreme luxury and comfort. Everything at hand and as the owner Daniel told me, "I wanted to create a self catering flat with the best from a 5 star hotel suite".

Location

The neighbourhood

Haro is an authentic town with old churches, medieval palaces and small winding streets full of bars and shops. There are three exceptional restaurants within four minutes’ walk – Rincon del Noble, Terete and Arropets – as well as excellent bars in the main square and a lovely restored cafeteria dating back to the 19th-century. Some of the best wine bodegas in Rioja are on the edge of town and offer tours and wine-tasting, such as the world-famous Bodega Muga – you can walk there in 15 minutes.
