An engaging, interesting Dartmoor home with a relaxed welcome and vibe. Comfy beds, pretty cottage garden, tasty breakfasts... wonderful!

An ancient Devon longhouse and an engagingly chaotic haven run by warm and friendly Ann and Will, along with their Dartmoor ponies. Steep, stone circular stairs lead to bedrooms: bright colours, a four-poster with lacy curtains, gorgeous views over the cottage garden and a bathroom with a beam to duck. A place for those who want to get into the spirit of it all – maybe help catch an escaped foal, chatter to the farm workers around the table; not for fussy types or Mr and Mrs Tickety Boo! Delicious Aga breakfasts and good for walkers too – the Two Moors Way is on the doorstep. Return home for a convivial whisky or sloe gin in front of the fire.

Ann & Will Williams:

  • I am very happy to show you the Dartmoor ponies we breed and drive in a carriage
  • You can walk out of the gate into the lane and up onto the moor, the views are spectacular
  • There are lovely gardens to visit, historic houses, and an industrial museum run by a leet, water from the local river
  • A favourite day out is to take the steam train from Buckfastleigh to Totnes and the boat down the Dart to Dartmouth, lunch in the beautiful town and return the same way, if the tides are wrong they bring you back in an old bus through the lanes to Totnes.

"A huge thank you to Anne for making us feel SO welcome. We absolutely loved our two nights here. A very special place, totally relaxing and wonderfully peaceful - Anne gave us great tips for where to walk and a great pub. She definitely went out of her way to make us feel at home, even had hot tea and cake ready when we returned from our rainy walk! Thank you so much."

"An absolutely wonderful stay. We spent the day walking the hills in the rain and had to call it early when the waterproof layers soaked through. Ann and Will welcomed us in to the fire, hung wet things before the stove, and had us warmed with tea and mince pies in a heartbeat. The bed was hands-down the most comfortable we've ever slept on and breakfast was first rate. Ann also made sure we got in for dinner at the Rugglestone Inn, which is a must. All in all a wonderful, welcoming, and cozy stay."

"As one of a party we were all treated especially well and personally. In my particular case I was driven to the other side of Dartmoor early the next morning to retrieve my car - all at no extra cost. More than generous. Lovely atmosphere at a genuine farm."

"There is no where else on Dartmoor like Ann and Wills B&B. We have stayed here the past 4 years now and love it even more each time we stay. Coming to Corndonford Farm is to be welcomed into a warm family environment, immersed in real Dartmoor life and comforted by good food, a comfy bed, beautiful surrounding and the sound of birds, ponies and Dartmoor wildlife. Ann and Will are the kindest happiest people who have an infectious nature and make you want to stay again and again. Thanks Ann and Will "

"Real Dartmoor. Will and Ann are proper lively characters and if you want to be part of a traditional Dartmoor setting this is a perfect opportunity. Its like visiting your favourite Aunty and Uncle. If you prefer anonymous 5* accommodation keep away but if beauty, tranquillity, animals, and a genuine welcome to a busy and working environment you will love it. This was our second visit - I hope we can have more."

"This was a spectacular stay at a wonderful B&B. On every level. Location, accommodation, the warmest welcome. Once inside the will to leave evaporates as you relax . Ann and Will are the most welcoming, interesting people on God's Earth. Their energy and love of life envelopes you like a warm pillow. You get a massive 'dollop of Merry England' as soon as you cross over the threshold. An integral part of glorious Dartmoor at its best. I don't think even Lloyd Grossman could find a more inspiring place to visit. And it was just like his 'Keyhole' series. A joyous stay. I wish it could be forever"
