An attractive 16th-century manor house with peaceful landscaped gardens sweeping down to the river Stour. The beamed double has oak furniture and a big bathroom; the fresh twin rooms (one in a private wing) are simply lovely. There is a large and elegant drawing and dining room for visitors to share, with antiques, contemporary art and an open fire. Jane prepares first-class breakfasts, and in warm weather you can have tea on the terrace: enjoy the pots of tulips in spring, old scented roses in summer, the meadow land beyond. A comfortable, lived-in family house with Stratford and the theatre close by. Guests love it here.

"We stayed at the Old Manor House for two nights. It is a delightful house, full of character and beautifully furnished. William and Jane were the most charming and accommodating hosts. William greeted us on our arrival and then brought us tea and biscuits while we relaxed in their beautiful garden, in which Jane was working hard; we were lucky to visit when the roses were in full bloom. Our bedroom was very well equipped and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom had an abundance of soaps and lotions. Breakfast on both days was delicious; do try the mushrooms with the cooked breakfast."

"Brilliant hosts. The Manor House was the perfect place to retreat to after an evening at the RSC. Jane and Michael were remarkably kind hosts. Our stay was the perfect combination of being looked after, while also feeling like there was enough space to enjoy ourselves. And a wonderful breakfast thrown into the bargain. First class accommodation. I should also add that I had made special inquiries about my elderly aunt and mother who were joining the party. Jane was very, very helpful. Thanks again. I cannot recommend enough. "

"Firstly, what an absolutely gorgeous find....the old manor house is simply stunning. We were made to feel incredibly welcome from the moment William answered the phone and took our booking. We stayed one night with two children and booked the annexe. Perfect for a family and incredibly spacious, with all the creature comforts that expect to find at home. What a welcome with the fire roaring in the incredible drawing room, that the guests can use to unwind and relax. Beds were immensely comfortable with luxury bedlinen. Fabulous power shower and breakfast was just heavenly! Thank you. "
