Come here if you need to remember how to relax. Such an unassuming, little place, but with real character and soul: great comfort too. Find exposed walls in the bedrooms, funky lighting, pocket sprung mattresses, lovely books to read, and calm colours; bathrooms are modern and delightfully quirky. But the real stars of this show are Muiread and Ciaran: warm, enthusiastic and engaging, with a passion for good local food and a desire for more self-sufficiency – pigs and bees are planned next. This is a totally tranquil place, with agreeable walks through the Irfon valley, and bog snorkelling too!

  • We have a 7kw Type 2 charging point for your electric car - more than enough to get you to Gigrin Farm Red Kite Feeding Station and back again! - see a marvellous display of aerial acrobatics - a photograoher's paradise
  • Cambrian Mountains - the wilderness of Wales. Make it your next adventure - explore the valleys, Pumlumon, the highest summit, take a peak at Mynydd Soar the mountain chapel on the way to LLyn Brianne reservoir.
  • Brecon Beacons, a natural breathing space. Grab your boots, there are routes and trails for all abilities, with superb scenery along the way. Try your hand at paragliding, rafting, or abseiling, or wait until dark and gaze at the stars.
  • Llanwrtyd Wells - Home of wacky, weird and wonderful outdoor activities, brace yourself for Bog Snorkeling, man v. horse marathon, real ale wobble (by bike) or ramble (by foot). Tackle the off road mountain bike routes or walk any distance in any direction
  • The Royal Welsh Showground - shows throughout the year including the Royal Welsh; the largest agricultural show in Europe. Just 15 mins from our door.

"One of the very finest places to stay. Calm, wonderful setting, first class and imaginative cuisine, possibly the very best breakfasts one could wish for, rooms of great quality and style, and, to top the experience, the most delightful hosts. We've stayed five times now, sublime ........."

"We have returned for a second year as this special place worked so well with trying to find a nice b/b that would accept our dog.Having the separate entrance to our accommodation was brilliant, and the owners Ciaran and Muiread have the amazing skill of being very relaxed and chatty without being intrusive. The evening meal was well balanced, with most of it sourced locally. Well recommended."
