A friendly Lauragais farmhouse surrounded by sunflower fields. Comfortable bedrooms, lovely host and homemade delicacies

Read guest comments

Wrap yourself in the natural warmth of this Lauragais farmhouse. Talented Élisabeth makes jams, jellies and liqueurs, pâté, confit and foie gras, keeps hens and is wonderfully kind. The first floor is lined with new wood, there's an airy guest sitting room with beams and blue sofas, and two comfortable bedrooms with tiny showers. Summer meals are outside on the terrace, enjoyed with your host. Exquisite medieval Caraman (once rich from the dye cocagne) is just down the road; Toulouse, 'The Pink City', is a short drive. One dog, two cats, a tended potager and fields as far as the eye can see... Great value.

"We had a lovely stay at La Ferme d'n Pecoul. A lovely area surrounded by fields of sunflowers. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We were made so welcome, it was just like staying with friends, eating our meals together. And trying to learn some french with Elizabeth. We would love to return. Our very best wishes to you and your family. Mary and Tim"

"Quiet rural farm house, past fields of sun flowers First floor, is the guest space – we had it all, but you could have one of two large doubles (small ensuites) around a large lounge area. There is a single too for a child around the lounge too. There is we found nothing to disturb ones sleep Wonderful hosts dined with us, a really tasty well cooked supper, 4 courses with generous wine Breakfast was a treat – a carousel of 14 homemade jams and baskets of bread to ensure you try them all. Élisabeth spoke good English, both her and Noel made great hosts "

"This was our favourite place throughout our vacation. The warm, integrating hospitality of Elisabeth and Noel as well as of their charming grandchild Marion was wonderful and had us completely feel welcome. We came as visitors and left as friends. Regarding the food: we had the best tomatos of our life here and Babeth' cooking is great. We can highly recommend this place."
