Fisherman's House

Fabulous light filled, clean and well equipped apartment with incredible views from the balcony across the lake. Savina was a very kind and helpful host. The property is located on its own little beach a 15 minute walk to Varenna with its lovely cafes and the ferry terminal to venture further around the lake. A wonderfully relaxing week.

It's a big wow..sitting on the balcony overlooking the lake with your morning coffee or evening drink, is unbelievable. With views like this and everything for self catering you might be tempted not to leave, but please go and explore. A ferry from Varenna can take you to all the main lakeside towns. Savina's local knowledge and recommendations are excellent, so make sure to ask her.

We had a wonderful stay in the Fisherman's Cottage and many thanks to Savina for providing such a beautiful place to relax and spend time on the banks of Lake Como. The flat is gorgeous with fabulous abstract paintings on the high white walls with french windows and a balcony overlooking the mountains and lake. The apartment has everything you need - with a welcome cold bottle of prosecco in the fridge when we arrived, the bed is very comfortable and we swam in the lake which was exciting! There is a v good restaurant across the road and Varenna itself is a 20 min walk away.Thank you Savina!

We had a fabulous week at Fisherman's house. The location is stunning with wonderful views across the lake, and direct access to the lake. We swam and paddleboarded and of course enjoyed the many bars and restaurants in Varenna. Savina was a perfect host.

Fisherman’s House is literally the most beautiful place on earth. The apartment has the most incredible views across Lake Como and towards Varenna. It is stylish and minimalist and reflects Savina’s amazing interior taste. We have visited twice now and would come back again. Savina is a wonderfully warm host. Don’t hesitate to book.

The apartment is very nice, I felt comfortable from the first moment on. The view from the balcony is stunning, it feels like being in a picture postcard. The kitchen offers everything one needs, the bathroom is very nice and modern, and the bed is comfortable. Savina is a great host, always helpful for any questions. A perfect stay!

This is a magical place with a stupendous panoramic view across the lake and mountains, which has to be seen to be believed. The balcony and windows get the sun all afternoon and face the evening sunsets. The apartment is really well equipped and is spacious and stylish with high ceilings and tall windows. There is also a beach directly below where you can swim in the lake or sit in the afternoon sun. Savina is a very warm welcoming and helpful efficient host. It is in a lovely quiet village with scenic walks and cycle routes nearby and a short walk to Varenna which is a beautiful town.

On entering the apartment we truly thought we were in paradise. The views, the peace. Words will never describe what the eye will see. So much to do, or so little! Fantastic walks, places to visit by ferry or train. A wonderful experience.

A real gem. If we travelled the world for the rest of our lives I’m not sure we’d ever find a view to rival that from the Fisherman’s House. It is quite simply idyllic. Savina was a joy to communicate with from the very first enquiry, promptly answered questions and helped us book some lovely restaurants. The apartment is in a great spot, had all we needed for a family week away and the little beach below was a favourite hang out for our 2 boys. We loved our time here and hope to return one day. The apartment is utterly wonderful. Savina is the perfect host - helpful but not intrusive. The views are beyond description. The little beach below is a delight and Varenna is only 15 mins walk. You can get ferry’s everywhere from Varenna dock and only need a car for the supermarket. The shower is great. The beds are comfy. The kitchen is well equipped. The decor is modern & chic. There’s nothing to not love. We’ll certainly be back.

Fantastic apartment with small balcony overlooking Lake Como - amazing views. One restaurant just across the road and another (Catto Di Pino) just a 7 min walk. Also a bakery just across the road for delicious Foccacia every morning ! To walk into Varenna is a lovely 15 minute walk. Highly recommended. Savina is wonderful.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Fisherman's House in Varenna, Lake Como. Savina was a wonderful host and very welcoming. The location is idyllic and perfectly positioned for morning swims and a short walk into Varenna. Thank you Savina - we look forward to returning one day!

Fantastic location & accomodation right on the lake. Views from the lounge & bedroom. Straight down from Fuimelatte station & short walk to Varenna. Savina left us a nice bottle of wine & cold water for our arrival. Loved every minute of our 5 nights.

WOW! Couldn't ask for a better place to stay - right on the lake, super hosts and walking distance to a lovely restaurant and small shop. Varenna is close by and one of the most interesting on the lake. Hosts really made an effort to welcome us and explain everything before leaving us to enjoy the week alone. What we loved the most was relaxing on the balcony overlooking the lake. Rain or sun it was equally mesmerizing. The description and photos were totally accurate, it IS really that beautiful!

What a great place to stay to explore Lake Como! Amazing views from both apartments across the lake to Varenna, Bellagio, Tremezzo, Mennagio. Day trips into the mountains were good fun too. We visited all the places by car or ferry during our stay. The children loved the beach (make sure you take shoes for the water as the stones are tricky). The kitchens were very well equipped (only a washing machine missing) so we could eat in or go to one of the many great restaurants that are a walk away in Varenna. A car was useful but not essential as Varenna has a station, buses and the ferry. Thankyou

We loved our stay at Fisherman's House. The big winner was the location - right on the lake front with stunning views. The apartment was well-equipped for a very comfy stay and the owners were friendly. I would definitely recommend Fisherman's House to friends and hope to return again soon.
