The Experience
Choose between The Manor House, The Farmhouse or 11 delicious stone cottages, depending on the size of your group. All are gorgeously individual, colourful and warm, some with hot tubs and private gardens, all with small outdoor seating spaces and fire pits. Come alone, or with a group of friends; either way you can swim in the pool by a wildflower meadow, chill in the saunas (brave the ice bucket showers), book spa treatments, play tennis, hone your yoga or head to the workshop for a creative activity.
Kitchens are fully equipped, a chef can be hired for special occasions and it’s a 10-minute drive to Looe for good restaurants. Log burners, books and boardgames will keep you cosy and happy if it’s grim outdoors and there are workshops to join. It’s a great place to stay, whether you want to hole up or socialise.
Pop-up food vans will now and then appear on the green and there are events throughout the year.

We think you'll love
- The community feel – the pop-ups, workshops and village green are designed to bring people together. Hire a few of the cottages with friends and extend the love
- Swimming in the beautiful heated pool which overlooks a wildflower meadow – you'll feel like you're in another element in spring and summer – bracing in winter too
- Exploring inland, walking, cycling, or heading to the coast
You should know
- It's rural, but not isolated; there are always going to be other guests and people around due to the setup of the hamlet
- Not all of the cottages allow dogs – do check before booking

Location
The neighbourhood
Through white gates under a stone archway, you're entering what was a 17th-century working farm – the whole place is steeped in history. There is superb walking nearby (not so many from the door) and you're just 10 minutes from Looe for the fish market, the sardine factory, Pengelly's for a crab sandwich and lots of farm shops – try Quayside Fresh in Looe.
Local points of interest from Cottage Orné
- Head to Lammana in Looe (just 10 mins away) for a delicious coffee and sweet treat, then drive along the coast to Lansallos and wander down to the stunning secluded beach (and maybe take a little swim, weather dependent).
- Drive to Polruan, park up in the car park with the most stunning views, and take the passenger ferry over to Fowey. Have a walk around this charming little town with loads of great shops and art galleries.
- If you’re feeling hungry, head to North Street Kitchen for a fishy feast, or for those less peckish, a takeaway seafood delight at Captain Hank's.
- Make sure you head back via the Hall Walk, a delightful round route trip of about 1.5/2 hours, involving the Bodinnick Ferry across the Fowey river.
