Are you a great fit for Sawday’s?
We believe that business should be a force for good, enriching rather than exploiting communities, the environment, our employees and the lives of those who use us. Being responsible is not only right, but great business too. Our company is only as good as the people who work for it. We are always on the hunt for great people to help shape our future, to bring energy, ideas and determination, and to nurture and develop our special culture. We need people for whom work is more than just ‘9 to 5’, who believe in making the world a better, more interesting and richly-experienced place and who have the drive to carve out a career doing just that here at Sawday’s. Is that you?
What it’s like working here
We’re a group of people with a shared passion for creating a truly special business: one based on respect and trust, where we work hard, have high expectations of each other (ours is a fast moving and competitive market, after all) but also have fun. Work, let’s not forget, is where we spend most of our time.
A few great things about working here:
- FAM trips – a yearly allowance to spend on stays at our places
- Inspection trips – checking out new applicants to make sure they’re special
- A volunteering day off to use for good causes
- Flexi hours for great work/life balance
Our ethical commitments
We take well being, mental health and equality seriously. We’re members of Mindful Employer, The Living Wage Foundation (which means that everyone, including the office cleaners not just our staff, gets paid a living wage) and the Women in Business Charter. We’ve signed the Time to Change pledge and have committed to becoming Disability Confident, with full accreditation expected shortly. There are also regular well being days, which might feature informative talks or sessions with a masseuse who sets up in one of our meeting rooms for the afternoon.
B Corp, EO and our Charitable Trust
Sawday’s has a unique employee ownership model, which means everyone that works here gets a say in the direction of the company. As part of that model, The Sawday Trust was established and uses its 24% share in the company to fund environmental causes. We’re also immensely proud that to be a certified B Corp, part of the global movement of companies using business as a force for good.
