The Experience
Starry-eyed couples of any age will happily roost here – it’s perfectly designed by Studio West Architects to maximise the views over Mounts Bay and St Michael’s Mount. Inside is equally enticing, on two floors with a nifty kitchen and sitting room on the first floor and wide steps down to the bedroom and bathroom. Cooking will be a joy, everything is here, or you can order a food delivery service. You’re left a generous hamper to start you off and you can walk to shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants.
The living space is ample: a snug off to one side has a comfy sofa and the TV, then there’s a big corner sofa by the log-burner. The huge windows and roof lights bring the outside in.
Built into the rocks is a delightful crow’s nest of a terrace with deck chairs, a fire pit and barbecue for delicious long summer evenings, listening to the gulls, watching the changing light on the water. Sleep peacefully in a very well-turned-out bed.

Location
The neighbourhood
You're in the heart of the village but the house feels like a private oasis. There are several great restaurants in Mousehole including 2 Fore Street and vegan Orange Cafe Bar. Good pubs abound – try The Old Coastguard or the Ship Inn. Newlyn is a five-minute drive but you can also get the bus easily or hire electric bikes in the village. Here you can eat the freshest fish at The Mackerel Sky.
Local points of interest from Jane Caterer
- We provide binoculars by the balcony so you can see the seals on and around Mousehole Island along with the chance to spot dolphins and much more. We've even had whales from time to time! Perhaps enjoy a private chef picnic whilst you enjoy the view.
- The Rockpool Cafe is a fantastic spot in the village by the sea for a cream tea with the most fantastic view.
- The Cornish Coastal path is literally 150m away giving you access to some of the most beautiful walking in the world. We can recommend hikes of all lengths and for all levels so just ask.
- We are 20 minute drive from iconic Porthcurno Beach and the stunning open air Minnack Theatre, built into the rocks just above this beach. They run a summer programme of matinee and evening performances with the sea and sunset as a backdrop.
- We are spoilt for fantastic food and drink options in Mousehole: The Mousehole Kitchen, 2 Fore Street, The Old Coastguard (Michelin listed) and The Orange Bar ( vegan) are all worth a visit. You really will be spoilt for choice.
- Newlyn, just 2 miles away and walkable offers: The Newlyn Arts Cinema and bistro, Michelin listed Argoe (for fish enjoyed overlooking the harbour), Lovetts coffee and wine bar for interesting and delicious wine and the Newlyn Art Gallery.

Fallen Angel is just such a special place to stay!! It has fantastic views over Mousehole harbour and the Lizard peninsula. The accommodation is also outstanding with modern appliances and a great design that frames the views. The bedroom is also special with a free standing copper bath and modern shower. It is one of our favourite places to stay and is further complemented by the beautiful Cornish village of Mousehole that has great restaurants and an abundance of places to visit including good walks on your doorstep.
