The Piggery by The Orchard, Ham Farm

We loved every minute of our stay at The Piggery. A beautiful, tranquil, relaxing space with a lovely picture window to sit at and look out over the orchard and hills. Our children played cards while my husband and I read our books - perfect. The attention to detail is fabulous. Inspiring inside and out. The walk from there along the river is stunning. 10/10

What a lovely place to stay. Peet is fantastic with her communications and the recommendations for our dinners were excellent. The property is very well kitted out and a great place to relax. Would highly recommend.

Had a super relaxing, fun girls weekend at this wonderful place! First of all, we loved the homemade decor it looked very artsy/modern. We thought it was bigger than what the photos looked like which was a great surprise! The place felt very clean and tidy. We liked the cd player with a range of blues/jazz cd's - it matched the vibe :) The fireplace was so cosy and the kitchen was well equipped. The homemade cider was sooo good we bought two bottles to bring home! there is also sheep in view from the garden too. I honestly have O negatives! Thanks a lot guys!

Complete rest, relaxation and warmth from the wintry weather. On top of that there's the quirky and welcoming interior, which is both inspiring and homely. The view is wonderful and days of watching the beauty of nature unfolding in front of us were spent in the window seat. The orchard is full of so much flora and fauna, the more you sit and look, the more you see and you will never tire of watching it all. But a walk around the are from the Piggery is highly recommended, as are the many wonderful beaches and towns. Rest or adventure - it's all on offer! Don't hesitate to book!

A stunning retreat, lovingly renovated. We adored it! The furnishings, archectectural detailing, furniture, sculpture and wall hangings are beautiful, all with exceptional attention to detail. Altogether an extraordinary and peaceful holiday let, nestled in quiet Devonshire countryside. Very welcoming hosts. Strongly recommended!

Our stay at The Piggery was simply perfect. Overlooking an apple orchard and hills beyond, the location is ideal for experiencing the best of Devon with beaches, towns and inspiring walks all within easy reach. Peet and Carl have created a welcoming haven with beautiful features and amenities in every room, many of them handcrafted by these wonderful artists and hosts. We didn’t want to leave!

“Carl and Peet's place is even better than the pictures suggest... Really by far the best equipped place we have ever rented, and we have stayed in quite a few... They are both amazing welcoming host and they have gone out of their way to make our stay even better than we could have imagined... Our children was so delighted at seeing the Christmas tree that had been put up for us, not plastic but a real one, that say a lot about the dedication to detail and making sure guests have a special experience at the piggery... No need for us to explain how nice the surrounding area us, see photos...

We are looking forward to our fourth visit to The Piggery. We have had a wonderful holiday on every occasion we have visited. A unique and very special place to stay, full of striking artwork and bespoke details. Comfortable, well-equipped and always faultlessly presented. The setting is wonderfully peaceful, yet is an ideal base for exploring the South Hams and its amazing beaches and countryside. Peet, Carl and family are very thoughtful and generous hosts.

We had a great stay in The Piggery! We had to wait for 1,5 yrs after our booking because of covid so had to change our booking several times, but Peet and Carl were very patient and kind during that time. The Piggery is a fantastic and relaxing place and has great facilities! My daughter picked apples in the garden and we loved the home pressed apple juice. It's a great spot to explore the South Coast. Would definitely recommend the place!

We had a wonderful visit to Devon. The Piggery is perfectly located for exploring South Hams and has been beautifully converted into a very comfortable, relaxing place to stay. It is extremely well equipped so self catering was easy. Peet and Karl are welcoming hosts and we would love to return one day.

Beautiful cottage in a tranquil location. Peet and Carl were perfect hosts – providing a warm welcome and offering local insight on things to see and do. The cottage has been furnished to a very high standard with the owner’s artistic touches in evidence throughout. The location itself is perfect for exploring South Devon with beaches, beautiful towns, restaurants and activities ranging from high ropes to leisurely walks all within easy access. A unique property with incredibly attentive hosts. Possibly one of the most relaxing and yet action packed holidays we have had in a very long time!

We loved staying at The Piggery, cosy, quirky and comfortable. Lovely views out to the countryside and Peet was a very hospitable host. There are some lovely country walks and interesting towns and villages nearby.

A wonderfully relaxing secluded cottage for a post lockdown week. The Piggery looks fabulous and has everything for a safe and peace break. Features quality furnishings and equipped to a high standard. The area has so much to offer with Kingsbridge only a short drive away and gorgeous estuary views and beaches.

The property is a light filled, spacious & tranquil cottage, perfect for relaxed escapism. The owners couldn’t have done more to please, ensuring our week was comfortable, and safe, during these strange times! It was all we had hoped for....and more!

We had such a lovely stay at The Piggery. Peet was extremely responsive and helpful before we booked and warmly welcomed us to their farm. The house is the perfect escape where you could spend days without getting in the car and there are also so many options for walks close by. We loved being able to walk from the house to the river and also watching the newly born lambs in the field next door. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we would love to return.

We have spent a wonderful holiday in the lovely and beautiful holiday cottage „The Piggery“. The cottage ist very tastefully furnished and a perfect place to relax and unwind. Peet and Carl are great hosts who gave us much information about what to do and to visit and made us always feel welcome! The location of the cottage is perfect to explore the coastal area, but you can also reach pretty towns and the Dartmoor is not far away. Thanks for having us! (Do not miss the delicious apple juice while staying in „The Piggery“!)

The Piggery is a very unique place in a tranquil setting. There are stunning views from the house and private patio and garden and its location is surprisingly central for exploring the many beautiful beaches and charming towns of South Devon. Dartmoor is also within very easy reach. The house has been thoughtfully designed and decorated with so much attention to detail, quality and style. A very comfortable and inviting home were there is nothing left wanting.

We had a fabulous stay at The Piggery. The property is truly gorgeous - the design is brilliant. The kitchen is so well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Having the lovely garden all to ourselves is a real plus also. Peet and her family are so hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend to anyone
