Sundial House

A unique, iconic building right on the sea front with access to everything that Lyme offers from the doorstep. The kitchen and dining area is spacious and has wonderful views along the Jurassic coast as far as Weymouth. I could spend hours here fossil hunting and collecting sea glass!

Sundial is in a perfect position on the seafront. We loved sitting on the terrace for a coffee, watching the sea. A wonderful arts and crafts building - full of character, comfortable and fully equipped - a super place to relax. We shall return!

Our 3rd family gathering at this unique property and certainly won’t be our last. Ideal location whatever the weather: watch the waves crashing over the Cobb from the cozy dining room, or sit on the sunny terrace getting envious glances from passers-by. Recent improvements increased our enjoyment and the owner has always proved to be very helpful.

We spent a lovely week at Sundial. The house is huge, plenty of space for two families. The best thing about it is its position on the seafront - amazing sea views and fabulous access to the beach. The Lyme seafront is full of activity - people promenading, cafes, crabbing off the Cobb, fish and chips,. We didn't use the car, which was a plus. You can walk to Charmouth for excellent fossil hunting. Fab holiday spot.

This house was on our "to visit list" for close to 20 years (we visit Lyme Regis once a year) and we finaly had the chance. Quite a few staircases but many young legs in our company. A wonderfull house, what a view. The sea, the people admiring the house, what privilege to stay here if only for a week.

We had the whole family down for a few days to rediscover the Lyme Regis of my childhood. The house is wonderful and eccentric. We loved it and will return. Right on the marine parade. Wonderful views from the front rooms.

Words can not express the wonder of this house! Beautiful location, wonderful character and you feel like royalty in a castle!
