The Experience

Tim and Margot – she’s from Melbourne – are your fun and friendly hosts, always happy to go the extra mile. The closest tube is West Brompton – a ten to fifteen-minute walk or a bus ride. Inside all is charming and spacious. Your bedroom, up a wide spiral staircase, is nicely private on the second floor with a big sofa, TV and books, and a sunny bathroom.

In a tiny, sun-trapping courtyard you can have continental breakfast in good weather – tropical fruits, freshly baked pastries and very good coffee; a second miniature garden bursts with life at the back.

The tennis at Queen’s is in June and on your doorstep. Stroll along the Thames to Fulham Palace or the Wetland Centre in Barnes – home to kingfishers, sand martins, wading birds and more. You’re close to tons of good restaurants and there are perfectly ironed sheets waiting for you on a comfy bed after dinner.

Reviews

For visitors to the hustle and bustle of London, I can't think of a more perfect place to stay. Margot and Tim are so welcoming and their upstairs bedroom a calm, elegant, relaxing bolthole. Coffee here is delicious and fun to enjoy in the sunny little courtyard. I'll have to return if just for the freshly baked pastries - a favourite! This is a very special place with wonderfully generous owners.
