You should know
- Arabella and Hugo live at the back of the property with a separate entrance
- Bedrooms and bathrooms are all on the first floor and there are no showers
- Dogs are welcome but must sleep in the stable kennels
A glorious place to wind back the clock and relax, the views alone will have your pulse slowing. The lodge is a deeply traditional and much-loved family home, and Arabella will treat you to delicious produce, much from the surrounding land. There are walks from the door – Georgian gem Ludlow is walkable – and for a truly unique experience, saunter down for a dip in crystal-clear spring water. A rare place indeed.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Salwey Lodge - we returned home completely refreshed and relaxed. Arabella is the perfect host and the Lodge is absolutely stunning. Arabella provided us with a bespoke itinerary which was fully flexible meaning that we could focus on enjoying ourselves in a totally relaxed environment while she took care of everything. The walks that she recommended were brilliant and being able to follow them on GPS app meant that we could enjoy the stunning scenery without worrying about getting lost. After our long walks we were able to relax in front of the cosy log fire.
