The Experience
Seductively near RSPB Minsmere, medieval castles and the glorious Heritage coast. The evening sun pours into the back of this contemporary cottage with butter yellow walls; you are on the edge of the village so all is quiet with an orchard behind and a bird-filled garden for tea and cake. No sitting room, but easy chairs in your pretty bedroom face views. Caroline is a good cook and breakfast is delicious (try her kedgeree and homemade jams). Snape Maltings for music, Southwold for the famous pier, Aldeburgh with its shingle beach, boats, fun shops and good places to eat – all are close by. Holly the labrador adds to the charm.

A small end of terrace cottage with a delightful garden and orchard to sit and listen to the plethora of visiting birdlife whilst drinking tea & enjoying Caroline’s splendid homemade cake. The bedroom was plenty large enough to accommodate us with armchair in the window, a plentiful tray of teas, coffee and biscuits. The en-suite was bright and clean with a power shower to revive any “early risers”. Breakfast choices were more than enough to keep us sustained throughout the three days of our stay. All complimented by superb homemade jams and marmalade. Caroline is a superb host!

We wanted to relax and recharge our batteries, and we were lucky to find Willow Tree Cottage B&B, peaceful and welcoming with a homely feel. Caroline looked after us superbly. A cosy room, a patio to relax and enjoy the garden over tea, cake and a natter. And the breakfasts, beautifully presented, healthy and utterly delicious! Just a short drive to Walberswick one of our favourite villages on the Suffolk coast. From the first welcoming smile to the final goodbyes, it was Caroline our host who made this a truly memorable experience. Thank you

A true delight. A very warm welcome from Caroline and her lovely Labrador Holly. Everything was sparklingly clean and fresh and above all really comfortable. A delicious breakfast set me up each day and nothing was too much trouble. This is definitely a -place to unwind with several excellent pubs and eating houses close by and a good place from which to visit many places.

The wonderful two-night experience will stay in our memory. Caroline’s beautifully prepared breakfast—full of color, aroma, and flavor—was like five-star dining and set the tone for an energetic day. Seeing her so full of vitality was truly inspiring. Especially on the second day, when Hong came down with a fever and had to stay in bed, Caroline thoughtfully brought Hong hot tea, a hot water bottle, fever medicine, and some snacks, and even went to the supermarket to buy canned soup. We felt the warmth of home. Thank you Caroline.
