Oaklands Farm

We felt at home as soon as we arrived.The large bedroom was delightful, with views of their beautiful gardens from three sides. Zsa and Stevie are excellent hosts. Sitting in the kitchen, with a pot of tea, delicious homemade cake, and chatting, made me wish we were staying for two nights instead of one! Hope we are able to come back and explore the area.

We had a lovely overnight stay at Oaklands Farm. Very comfortable bed and room, with lots of space. Zsa and Stevie were lovely hosts. And the breakfast was delicious.

We had a very pleasant stay at Oaklands farm. Our bedroom was spacious and bathed in sunlight with a view over the vegetable garden and in the distance, open fields. A comfy bed, very quiet surroundings, welcoming owners Zsa and Stephen, plenty of animals, a hearty breakfast, what more to ask for in such bucolic surroundings ? Thank you.

Such a beautiful home with wonderful kind hosts, Zsa and Stevie who made us feel so welcome. Lovely homely interiors, a fantastic breakfast and charming grounds/gardens to explore with lots of friendly animals (lambs/horse/chicks/dog’s etc!). A really special home - thank you.

A most wonderful property in a secluded position in the countryside where chickens, guinea fowl, sheep and other animals abound. Our hosts delightful, attentive and hospitable. Altogether a brilliant stay and highly recommended.

From the moment I arrived to the time I (reluctantly) left five days later I was made to feel at home by my hosts Zsa and Stevie. Oaklands Farm is quintessentially Sawdays and captures everything that I have come to expect from them: hospitality, comfort, space, and charm.

We had a wonderful stay and were made so welcome by Zsa and Stephen ( and the dogs!) A lovely spacious room, beautifully appointed with an amazing ensuite bathroom. Locally sourced ingredients made for a delicious breakfast, and our hosts pointed us to excellent local restaurants. All in all, a most enjoyable stay in a peaceful rural location with delightful hosts.

A lovely place to stay. Very welcoming; luxurious yet homely; excellent breakfast; comfy bed. Altogether a delightful place to stay. And extremely convenient for visiting Knepp, which is just outside the back gate.

We think Zsa and Stephen invented hospitality and then honed it to perfection because we could not have felt more welcome and part of the family. The room had everything we required and was extremely comfortable and breakfast was a delicious and lovely communal experience. We plan to return soon to enjoy more of West Sussex in their lovely home and gardens

We spent a wonderful few days being very welcomed and pampered by Zsa and Stevie, who couldn't do enough for us. We felt we were friends rather than house guests, which made the visit very memorable. Zsa is very happy to suggest places to visit and to eat, and she has a love of the area which comes across very clearly. If you want to stay in a beautiful house, in the quietest of locations, with great hosts, then this is the place for you.

Zsa and Stephen welcomed us to their lovely home as friends. We relaxed in great comfort, slept well, enjoyed delicious cake and a tasty breakfast and wandered around the impressive garden. We went to be near to Knepp but would have enjoyed more time at Oakland too.

What a lovely place to stay. A farmhouse surrounded by a beautiful garden full of animals including three handsome, friendly dogs. Zsa and Stevie are great hosts and have lots of funny stories to tell. We really enjoyed their company. The room is bright and spacious and the bed and pillows very comfy.

We had a blissful stay in Oaklands Farm. It was such a pleasure to meet Zsa, Stevie and Casper and their dogs, variety of birds, lambs and horse. The house and garden are beautiful as is the extremely comfortable guest room. Delicious cake and breakfast too. For nature lovers this is a paradise. We woke up to the sound of cuckoos, cockerels and chaffinches. Next to Knepp there are also turtle doves and nightingales. We can’t wait to return!

Oaklands Farm is indeed a special place to stay. The welcome offered by Zsa and Stevie is marvelous, even a cake had been baked in honour of my birthday. In a nutshell, one feels immediately at home, just as if one were staying with friends. Already looking forward to the next visit!

We stayed to visit the Goodwood Revival , this booking was long standing due to the pandemic and Zsa and Stevie could not have been more accommodating. Goodwood is immersive but staying at Oakland’s you are treated as good friend by all including the dogs! Lovely room , smashing hosts and lots of laughs .

A heavenly place. A quintessential country house surrounded by absolutely lovely gardens and peaceful countryside. The lovely hosts, both human and animal, made me feel extremely welcome and relaxed. I would love to go back there again one day.

We booked this B&B as its garden adjoins the Knepp estate - having read Isabella Tree’s book, we planned to join a ‘Purple Emporer safari’ on 27 June. Sadly the heavens opened that afternoon and the butterflies wisely chose not to emerge...but we were easily consoled by our 3 nights stay at the grand & lovely Oaklands Farm. The guest room is magnificent and the gardens looked resplendent in late June. Zsa & Stevie made us very welcome & we particularly loved their 3 friendly Hungarian dogs, Zsa’s beautiful horse and all the chicks. A real treat!

A delightful, quiet and beautiful setting providing a very spacious and comfortable room with elegant bathroom attached! Very friendly and warm hosts surrounded by dogs, horses, hens, quails, sheep and many other delights. One couldn't find a better place to stay.

In early June 2021, my wife and I spent 4 nights at Oaklands Farm B&B with Zsa and Stephen. We thoroughly enjoyed every element of our stay. We relaxed the moment we entered the tree-lined, wild-flower-rich drive, with its combination of both long, and carefully mown, grass. Oaklands is a really calm retreat - we loved it. We thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with our hosts and their sociable dogs. The food was brilliant. The house is welcoming, spacious and proved easy for me to negotiate, despite my mobility problems. Zsa and Stephen made us feel welcome to explore the grounds and garden.

Our stay at the Oaklands Farm was a highlight of the year! Zsa and Stevie were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by their friendly Hungarian dogs, and a big pot of tea and delicious home baked cake. We enjoyed spending time with their grandson and learning more about the farm and the animals that are kept there. We even got the pleasure of seeing new chicks being hatched! Breakfast was delicious and Zsa made us a lovey home cooked meal one eve. The room was EXQUISITE, surrounded by nature on every angle. We'll definitely return!
