Anvil Cottage

After a 30 hr journey we arrived and immediately knew we had something special. Attention to detail top notch . A spacious cottage with everything you needed for a luxurious stay. The cottage is also well placed to see the beautiful Cotswolds . Gill is a most welcoming host and was always there with suggestions. The only drawback- it went to quickly .

Anvil Cottage in picturesque Biddestone, Wiltshire is the most delightful self catering cottage for 4 people. The decor is beautiful and spacious and has all amenities. There is outside space overlooking a very large stunning garden. Gill the owner is lovely. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely return. Very highly recommended.

We stayed at the wonderful Anvil cottage for a long weekend. The property is really very special set in the grounds of the close, it is really well equipped and very comfortable. Gill our host couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. It is an excellent base for exploring this beautiful part of England.

Another fabulous state in Biddestone, always joy to stay at Gill’s place, everything is perfectly kept and it’s a wonderful little village with a great pub across the road five stars again & this is our 4th visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anvil Cottage. The space was the perfect blend of comfort and character — underfloor heating, modern amenities, and a peaceful, calming atmosphere. Gill was a generous and welcoming host, providing a thoughtful food package and great local tips. We loved the access to the garden and surrounding area, and had a fantastic meal at The White Horse pub across the road. We also explored nearby gems like Avebury and Great Chalfield Manor. A magical stay — even better than we hoped!
