- There’s no television, although there are plenty of books, board games and a cassette player
- A public path runs alongside the house, so it's not entirely private, though the main rooms are shielded from view
- The WiFi is slow and mobile signal patchy – this is a place to switch off and immerse yourselves in the surroundings
Shieldaig Steading is a lovingly restored former agricultural building – the architect-owner's attention to detail and knowledge of materials is everywhere. It's a lovely home, light filled and calming.
