This former priory is one of the very loveliest houses I have stayed in in a long time. It has grand proportions but is extremely comfortable too. It would be such a fun house to fill with family and friends, enjoying the beautiful national park which surrounds it, or setting off in the direction of the Dordogne's castles and caves. I could not recommend this beautiful place more.

We stayed for two weeks at Annie's beautiful home and couldn't have been happier. The setting is glorious with a large enclosed garden – perfect for our small dog who can be a bit of an "explorer" – and a stunning pool, ideal for the children. The house had plenty of indoor space for the nine of us and very comfortable rooms. There's plenty to do nearby, with local markets throughout the week (the one in Piegut-Pluviers a particular favourite). The lake in St Esteph was fantastic, with free use of canoes and paddle boards. Angouleme, Périgueux and Limoges are all within easy driving distance.
