Rediat Cor

We had an absolutely lovely time staying at Rediat Cor in Hautefort. The peaceful, pretty house sits beneath the beautiful ‘Chateau de Hautfort’ which has lovely gardens & woods – perfect for walks with our dog. The charming, historic village of Hautefort has a some great restaurants (two of which are just across from the house in the old town square), an excellent boulangerie and a very helpful vet too! We would love to come back and stay at Rediat Cor again :)

Rediat Cor provided all that it promised - a lovely, fantastically well-equipped house in a peaceful and beautiful setting. Great location for exploring this part of the Dordogne, including the magnificent Chateau Hautefort right above us. Good local shops and fab restaurants just a stroll away which added to our week of relaxation and recovery! Really comprehensive information provided before our arrival and specific questions answered really quickly. Thank you, Amy, for a wonderful stay.

What a beautiful house in a fantastic situation! We loved our stay at Rediat Cor, everything we needed was there. There is a surfeit of choices to eat out in Hautefort but the kitchen is well equipped for preparation of food you can buy in the local shop and markets. Slept very well and enjoyed the terrace to eat outside or catch some sun. It is well placed for trips out bit within very short distances we went kayaking on the Auvezere river-fantastic; toured the chateau and visited the amazing caves at Tourtoirac. Exceeded our expectations.

We spent a wonderful week at Rediat Cor. The house doesn't feel like a rental cottage at all with lots of personal touches and comfortable furnishings. We enjoyed the local markets, day trips to Perigueux and Bergerac and evening walks with our dog iin the village. The outdoor space is perfect for eating and people watching. Definitely one to return to!

We really loved this house, it’s setting and the warm welcome we received in after 3-4 months of staying at home during the coronavirus lockdown. Despite the pandemic we felt very welcome in hautefort and surrounding villages (loved the Thursday Excideuil market) and enjoyed swimming at Trémolat. The Hautefort boulangerie was excellent (especially the weekend specials) and we’ve driven back with a car full of wine and treats from the Levy charcuterie! The weather was glorious (25-28 degrees) so we enjoyed eating all our meals, breakfast, lunch on the terrace or at the local restaurants

We loved this very special place from the moment we turned the corner in to the fairy tale square, with it’s beautiful architecture and illuminated lime hill trees. We visited in November so the log fire & under floor heating was an added bonus. Beautiful furnishings and accessories in this authentic cosy bolt hole. We loved it so much when the weather was poor we welcomed the chance to snuggle in front of the fire with a good book. Great restaurants almost next door and the best Boulanger for miles. This has become one of our special places and we returned again two years later.

Perched on the old town square of the beautiful village Hautefort, Rediat Cor is a unique and welcoming house to stay in. The interior has been lovingly restored and the three of us immediately felt comfortable being there as did our Whippet Pearl. Hautefort is a great base to explore the Perigord Vert, both locally and further afield. The village offers great restaurants and a fun bar. There are good markets of all types around and a variety of activities such as swimming in nearby lakes, pools and kayaking. Périgueux is also close for a quick dip into city life. We spent a wonderful week in Rediat Cor ..the views of the chateau above and the surrounding ambiance is magical. Amy's thoughtfulness of providing comfort and all the necessary on every floor and all rooms. Relaxing on the terrace with lavender and green succulents, the village below and swallows flying above was very uplifting. Hautefort Chateau and village are worthy of all the written and spoken praise. There is much to discover in this fascinating area, and when not out and about Rediat Cor beckons to relax, enjoy and day dream..utter bliss ! An experience to repeat..Carole and Wilf

We really enjoyed our stay in Hautefort, a typical French village with family run restaurants, a boulangerie, deli, brocante and its own majestic chateau. Rediat Cor is delightful, homely and full of character with a sunny, private terrace. The local area is rural and we saw wild deer, woodpeckers, a red squirrel and birds of prey not afraid to swoop quite low! Nearby there is swimming, canoeing… and all that the Dordogne has to offer including colourful markets, world famous cave art and lots of medieval towns. The perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine! Thank you Amy.

Amy’s house is just beautiful. The views are stunning and the village of Hautefort has everything you could want from a French holiday. 3 fantastic restaurants on the doorstep, a wonderful boulangerie & charcuterie/deli 5 minutes walk away. Along with the most stunning chateau that you can see from the bedroom window. We had a fabulous week, our dog Monty was also made most welcome and we would love to return sometime in the near future.

We had a lovely holiday at Rediat Cor with our dog. The house is a very well equipped holiday home, located close to some excellent restaurants. It’s a great base for exploring the Dordogne.

We had a wonderful holiday at Rediat Cor with our 9 month old daughter. The house is by far the best equipped holiday home we’ve ever stayed in: not only is it like cooking in a Masterchef kitchen, but there’s everything you’d need for children too (nice travel cot, pram, baby monitor, potty, stair gates, toys etc). The house is just beautiful and the views stunning. It was our second visit, and I’m sure we’ll be back for a third one day!

Wonderful cottage, village, Baker, butcher, restaurants, people, market and walks. We have been coming to france for holidays many years not every year but I would guess at at least 40 years they have all been great but we think this was the best.

Rediat Cor is a stunning, well equipped property. The interior design creates a wonderful ambient atmosphere. The views from the house are magnificent, with several excellent restaurants literally steps away from the front door. We found plenty to do both close by, as well as further afield. Rediat Cor truly is a special place to stay and we have no doubt we will return. We had a brilliant stay at Rediat Cor, so good that we have already booked to go back next year for two weeks. All very good, particularly comfy beds and excellent shower. Also very clean. Several really good restaurants within easy walking distance.

Amy's house is beautiful and immaculate in every sense. Her thoughtfulness is evident in all respects from the way in which the house is decorated and equipped to the way in which every type of guest is catered for. The house is located right at the heart of a very vibrant village. There are two fantastic restaurants which are within 10 paces of the front door!! The chateaux which is just behind the house provides a itself is fantastic on the inside and to wander through the gardens. There is lots of lovely walking too. A highlight of our visit was the very cool new visitor centre at Lascuax

We had a lovely stay at Amy's! It's a delightful cottage situtated in the old town of a charming french country village. The house had everything one could ask for. There is a local supermarket nearby, aprox. 15-20 min on foot and there are many very good restaurants. Don't forget to visit the local antique store!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rediat Cor. The property is beautifully presented and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The position on the village square was stunning and we had a superb evening meal in the restaurant opposite. The village itself is beautiful and after each day trip we felt that we were returning to the best place of all. We would definitely come back to this idyllic spot and Rediat Cor. Amy was a very helpful and accommodating host. 10 out of 10!
