The Experience
On the banks of a tranquil stretch of the river Lot, this elegantly renovated house embraces its scenic waterfront setting. Doors open to a terrace with views over the Lot: watch canoes and pleasure boats glide past, or hop aboard for a cocktail cruise from your private jetty.
Inside, a stylish blend of antique and contemporary furniture sets the tone with wooden floors, sleek bathrooms and river views from nearly every window. Chefs will delight in crafting feasts in the high-tech kitchen while kids can watch movies in the den, splash in the pool or explore the play area.
Sit peacefully watching herons and kingfishers flit along the river, or get active on the your very own boules pitch. Communal spaces and a covered central courtyard are sociable when you fancy. Visit the markets in nearby Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Pujols, Villeréal and Issigeac, grill your goodies on the brasero, then retreat to light-filled, en suite bedrooms for a dreamy night.
