The Experience

Huge glazed doors make the most of the view – the full sweep of the Saint-Brieuc Bay; the living space opens onto the deck where you can watch the windsurfers scud across the bay. A wood-burner keeps you cosy on blustery days spent watching the shifting sky.

The downstairs double is a sanctuary, with its own private bathroom. A wide staircase leads to a second double, accessed through the twin, with beds smartly tucked under the eaves and rooflights for sunset and stargazing. Muted colours, soft lighting and owner Lionel’s characterful handmade wooden furniture soften this fresh, contemporary renovation.

You are a stone’s throw from the Plage des Rosaires for beach days and water sports, a short walk to beach bars and a 3km walk away from the bakery (there’s a closer bread collection point in summer). Swap the beach crowds for a sun lounger on the secluded south-facing terrace. There’s an outdoor shower and storage for bikes, buggies and other beach paraphernalia, a thoughtful touch.

Reviews

You'll never forget the breathtaking ocean views and abundant light here. This home-from-home has real soul, thanks to one-off solid-wood pieces crafted by Lionel, including deep window seats where you can watch the ballet of windsurfs and sailboats below. From bright beach days and late dinners to bracing winter walks along the shore leading to cosy evenings, this is a place for making memories.

Location

The neighbourhood

Less than 100 metres from the beach, it's a water sports hotspot with sailing, windsurfing and wingfoil all on offer, and the Brittany coast path runs right past the door. There are three restaurants in walking distance, and in nearby Plérin there are supermarkets, bakeries and a Sunday market. For something special, Lionel recommends Michelin-starred La Table d'Asten in Binic.

Local points of interest from Florence & Lionel Le Coq

  • Rosaires Beach, less than 100 metres from Ti Keinvor, is a regional hotspot for windsurfing, flysurfing, wingfoiling and stand-up paddle boarding. These water sports are enjoyed there all year round and are of course available to our guests.
  • The house is about 2h30 from Paris Montparnasse station. It’s a 2h15 train journey followed by a 10-minute taxi ride, and you’ll be right by the waves!
  • You’ll find restaurants, a crêperie, a bar, and a small shop under a 5-minute walk from the house. And just a 5-minute drive away, there’s a whole village with a full range of shops waiting for you.
  • Saint-Brieuc Bay is a sandy bay, offering a rich variety of colours throughout the year. Fishing is very popular here all year round, either wading at high tide or by boat for all types of fish or scallops.
  • Rosaires Beach is a hive of sporting activity: it’s the starting point for mountain bike rides and hikes along the Sentier des Douaniers. The brave can swim in the sea all year round - the water temperature ranges from 7°C in February to 22°C in July.
  • The sea is to the north, the countryside is to the south! There are plenty of attractions in the countryside to explore all year round.
