The Experience

A sturdy Breton farmhouse from the outside but a very cool ‘pad’ inside – this will suit those who like a bit of chic with their French countryside. The building’s stone walls and beams have been exposed to create airy spaces, skilfully combined with a luxurious minimalism. The vast salon centres around a huge fireplace at one end and a solid dining table at the other

Furnishings are modern, colours sober but enriched with splashes of bright artwork and bold lamps, and there’s toasty underfloor heating. A sleek ultra-modern kitchen has all its bells and whistles. Bedrooms (one downstairs) are spacious and well lit; bathrooms are boutique-hotel-smart.
