The Experience
This charming 19th-century farmhouse is set outside a hamlet in the Gers countryside and has a peaceful home-from-home feel and 360-degree views over the undulating countryside. Graeme and Kirsty live in a small cottage on the other side of a large hedge with a separate drive and are available if needed, but otherwise will leave you in peace.
One of the bedrooms (and a bathroom) is downstairs and a further three are upstairs. The well-equipped kitchen has a table and chairs for eight, and French windows leading out onto a sheltered south-facing terrace with shade sail and fully-equipped outdoor kitchen – barbecues out here will be sublime.
The gardens are the real wow factor and Graeme’s pride and joy, with large lawns and plenty of seating areas, some right outside the house or next to the heated saltwater pool.

If Graeme and Kirsty represent Scottish hospitality, we urgently need to go to Scotland. The house is charming and authentic with a very well-equipped kitchen. The view is endlessly beautiful. If you really want to relax and enjoy the silence, a beautiful swimming pool and a nice house, then this is the right place!

We had an amazing time at A Puntos! Graeme and Kirsty were exceptional hosts - also available with good recommendations and advice, but not at all intrusive. The house is large, beautiful and a real home from home. We all felt so relaxed and enjoyed BBQing in the outdoor kitchen. Returning each day after our adventures to the gardens and glorious pool, was the icing on the cake. A Puntos is rural but that is what makes it so special - we felt that we were in 'proper' France with markets, fates and so much history in the fortified towns and villages. We adored Murphy and Finley's daily visits!

Fantastic hosts and a wonderful property/location. The house was really well done and well appointed. The gardens and outdoor living areas were well maintained and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen was very well stocked. Overall we had a lovely time and the value was excellent and exceeded our expectations. We hope to make it back for another stay.

Location
The neighbourhood
This is a very rural spot and the house stands alone off a small lane apart from Kirsty and Graeme's cottage next door. Restaurants are about a 15 to 30-minute drive, and the local farmer's market (Saturday mornings) is a 10-minute walk. There are endless opportunities for wonderful walks and cycles in the mountains, pretty villages to explore and markets for buying local produce.
Local points of interest from Graeme Fletcher
- There three airports within 1.5hrs drive of A Puntos: Lourdes-Tarbes (50 minutes), Pau (75 minutes) and Toulouse (90 minutes).
- There is a market every day in the Gers and the local markets of Trie Sur Bias and Mirande are especially close. Wander through the bustling markets and fill your shopping basket with fresh local products.
- The Pyrenees mountains are only an hour away and you can hiking, canyoning, cycling, white water rafting, skiing or even visit one of the spas. Balnea being our personal favourite.
- At the nearby lake of Castlenau Magnoac, you can hire kayaks, stand up paddles or simply just relax on the white sandy beach. There is also an inflatable assault course.
- There is a reasonable golf course within 20 minutes of the house with a very nice restaurant.
- You will need to drive but there are plenty of restaurants in the area to meet all your culinary needs. From the high end Sandikala French fusion restaurant to a local wood fired pizza joint that does takeaway, there is something for everyone.

Introducing
Graeme Fletcher
Graeme and Kirsty are originally from Glasgow and live in the small cottage next door with Murphy the bearded collie in the holiday season. Graeme loves gardening and is a consultant for a digital marketing company in Scotland; Kirsty is a senior director for an NGO. She often travels so Graeme is the contact for guests and waters the garden and cleans the pool early in the morning.
Superb break at A Puntos! House was better than in the pictures and really everything was thought of. Perfectly clean and organised, all the important things for a villa holiday were present including games for the young (and old) kids, pool inflatables, multiple places to cool beer an outdoor kitchen.I could go on. We were 6 adults and a 5 month old baby and were extremely comfortable, even in the extreme heat thanks to the aircon in bedroom upstairs and the cool rooms of the original building. Loved the stunning scenery, sleepy villages and tranquility of the place. Will go back for sure!
