The Experience

Heaps to keep you busy! Swimming pool, table tennis, gym, bikes to borrow, sandy play area for football, boules, pétanque… and five acres of private woodland to wander. Surrounded by sunflower fields, woods and vineyards this traditional Tarn farmhouse – all soft white stone and pale shutters – feels remote, yet is 10 minutes from pretty cobbled Cordes. Juliet and Mike’s home in the winter, it’s been renovated to create a supremely comfortable house with a cool, contemporary style: white plaster, exposed stone and beams, tiled or polished wood floors. Bedrooms are fresh, simple spaces where plain modern furnishings mix with the odd rustic table or wardrobe. Contemporary prints and faux-fur throws add colour, all have glorious views and generous, practical bathrooms; three have patios. An airy living-space, with oak floors and beams, is crisply furnished with cream sofas, oak country pieces and art. Cooks will love the sleek kitchen, faultlessly equipped. Eat inside or out, in the shade or sun. Visit vineyards, walk, explore Toulouse or relax in the garden with its terraces, shady corners, potager, herbs and pool.

Reviews

Sue, Salisbury

A great house, tastefully furnished, brilliantly equipped (good kitchen and bathrooms) and in a beautiful location. Fantastic outside space and pool area with masses of seating, a choice of shaded or sun-soaked eating locations and plenty of games/activities to keep three generations busy. Stunning countryside and few tourists when we visited, although local towns and villages still buzzing. Fab location for a relaxing family holiday.

Gillian, Cheltenham

Villa Rudel was just delightful, we visited with our daughter, husband & our teenage grandchildren , we loved the area , the villa was perfect catering for everyone needs quite a tough ask we so many differing age groups, we had a very happy & relaxing time & loved the swimming pool area where we spent a good deal of our time. We hope to return.
