The Experience
Most of your time will be spent outdoors: the shared courtyard bursts with orange and lemon trees for wonderful scents in spring, a long table is perfect for al fresco dining and has long views over the sea, there’s a private outdoor jacuzzi for two and a massage cave. Experiences include cooking classes, boat tours, Pilates and a chef at home if you don’t feel like cooking.
Both apartments have their own outdoor kitchens (along with well-equipped indoor ones) with a pergola for shade and lounge chairs for sunbathing; the garden courtyard is yours to use and you can help yourselves to fruit and vegetables in season. Barbecues in balmy weather will be sublime.
There is antique furniture throughout from the historic Hotel Cappuccini Convento Amalfi – there is much family history here – just ask Eleonora! You’re a 20-minute walk (or bus ride) from the centre of Amalfi, there are lovely walking trails and some spectacular beaches.

Location
The neighbourhood
The bus service into Amalfi runs every 30 minutes (book tickets in advance) or you can walk. There is a little supermarket, Florida Market, just up the road where you can buy most things. A private swimming club, Le Nereidi, is open to guests unless it's booked out for a wedding or suchlike, but you can head to some gorgeous beaches for swimming. There are some very good restaurants in Pogerola.
Local points of interest from Eleonora & Florestano Aielli
- Have breakfast or try the cakes at Pasticceria Pansa in Amalfi's main square.
- Valle delle Ferriere – the most beautiful paths on the coast where you can see a fern species that dates back to the Cenozoic Era, as well as some protected salamander species living in this valley.
- The closest beach is Lido delle Sirene. The sea is wonderful there, and you can swim in a cave or relax in the two adjacent natural pools.
- Take the boat from the harbour to two other wonderful beaches, Duoglio (here at Lido degli Artisti beach club you can use our exclusive discount code CAPP25) and Santa Croce.
- We highly recommend a visit to Ravello, with its two Villas (Cimbrone and Rufolo), the mosaics in the medieval church in the main square, and the Coral Museum.
- To reach the Path of the Gods: take the bus to Agerola from Amalfi's main square, ask the bus driver where to step off to reach the path in the easiest way.

Introducing
Eleonora & Florestano Aielli
Eleonora grew up in this, her family home. Her grandparents owned two hotels, Hotel Caruso and Hotel Cappuccini – you'll find lots of history, furniture and bygone treasures about notable guests, including Queen Victoria and Wagner! She's very hands-on with guests and can offer some wonderful experiences in the local area, advise on restaurants, where to go and what to see.
