The Experience
Each apartment has its outdoor space and well-equipped little kitchen and the apartment for four has its own sitting room, but you can also be sociable. In the main house there is an open-plan kitchen where you can do a cookery course – try the family pasta recipes, wine tasting or a cocktail masterclass with Giorgio – a founder of the house of Negroni. Breakfast on homemade juices and jams, home-baked cakes and granola, savoury options. Sometimes dinner is also offered.
You’re surrounded by rolling hills and peaceful nature, activities can be arranged, there’s a communal covered patio for sitting and listening to the restful chirrup of cicadas, a lovely pool to sunbathe and chat around and a barbecue for convivial sizzling. If the weather turns you can retreat to comfortable sofas and lots of books in the main house.
Francesca has a therapy room for her holistic treatments (including Sound Massage) the peace is palpable and this is a grand spot for rest.

Casa Janna was the perfect base to both explore and relax during our trip across. The pool was amazing & the surrounding gardens and countryside are beautiful and so peaceful. Our suite also had a private terrace area with sunbeds and table. Breakfast was a real unexpected treat. Francesca and Giorgio provided something different and delicious everyday, Giorgio even went to the effort of making me an iced coffee every morning when he found out I did not like hot drinks. We had been looking for a cooking class to take part in &when we arrived at Casa Janna we found it was offered here -amazing!

There's a little bit of heaven in Marche -it's name is Casa Janna. From first contact to our fond farewell, Francesca and Giorgio were the most amazing hosts. They have created a haven of genuine hospitality and healing calm in this special place. And the breakfasts were amazing! The cottage was perfectly suited for my husband and I and our two daughters- well appointed and so comfortable. The pool is the perfect place to spend the warm days and the surrounding countryside is wonderful to explore with it's beautiful flora and abundant wildlife- especially birds. Only wish we stayed longer!

Staying at Casa Janna was more than just a holiday — it was a breath of fresh air. You can feel from the first moment that Francesca and Giorgio have poured their hearts into this place. They left the city to create something more meaningful, and you feel it in every detail — the calm, the beauty, the food that’s made with care and intention. The apartment was beautiful and thoughtfully designed, but what really stayed with me was the energy of the place — peaceful, grounding, and somehow magical. The sound healing regenerate me & Francesca’s cooking is incredible (still dreaming of her break.

Location
The neighbourhood
There are two towns about ten minutes away by car where you can find pretty historical centres, shops and restaurants – San Ginesio and Colmunaro. Explore the wider region and visit towns like Macerata (opera in summer), Recanati (Casa Leopardi Museum) and Fermo – one of the undiscovered gems of Le Marche. Monti Sibillini National Park sky facility is 30 to 45 minutes and the beach is 35 minutes.
Local points of interest from Francesca Ciaudano
- One of Casa Janna’s most unique features is its equal distance from the Sibillini Mountains and the Adriatic Sea, offering easy access to both breathtaking landscapes. Nestled in the Sibillini National Park, the area is renowned for its natural beauty and adventure opportunities.
- Macerata, just a short drive from Casa Janna, is famous for the Sferisterio, a grand open-air neoclassical arena that hosts a renowned summer opera season. The arena's superb acoustics and unique architectural setting make it a must-visit for culture lovers.
- The Marche region is a hidden gem for wine lovers, and is home to several indigenous grape varieties like Verdicchio, which has been named the best white wine in the world for three consecutive years.
- Just 10 minutes from Casa Janna lies the Abbazia di Chiaravalle di Fiastra, a Cistercian abbey founded in 1142, surrounded by a peaceful natural reserve. The abbey is a perfect location for a leisurely walk or run, with its harmonious blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture.
- A day trip to the Frasassi Caves is an unforgettable experience. Known for their vast caverns, including the awe-inspiring "Abisso di Ancona," which is large enough to fit Milan’s Cathedral, the Frasassi Caves are a natural wonder of the Apennine Mountains and amongst the biggest in the world.
- Another fantastic day trip from Casa Janna includes a visit to Fermo. Along the way, stop by one of the area’s award-winning olive oil producers, where you can sample and purchase oils that have been honored in prestigious national and international competitions.

Introducing
Francesca Ciaudano
This is Francesca and Giorgio's home turf to which they've returned after 20 years living abroad. They are friendly, kind, passionate about Casa Janna, the environment and their guests. They grow their own vegetables, have solar panels and have used limewash instead of paint. You'll meet their sociable cats Fluffy and Trilli too.
My stay at Casa Janna was my first in Italy and wow, what a place. The accommodation is beautiful with every small detail thought about. The communal areas, the lounge area and eating space is exceptional. It truly was like staying with friends. The food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was explained and eating things I had never tried before and knowing exactly where it came for was fabulous. I feel incredibly lucky to have had this stay as my first experience of Italy. It was more than I could have ever imagined and I can't wait to return.
