Specchia Ranne

This place is truly wonderful. So understated and yet so magical. It is beautifully decorated - simple, rustic, but comfortable and tasteful. Sitting on the (several!) terraces and watching the sea and sky was heaven. Renata is a great host - welcoming and very helpful, and she gave us lots of great tips of where to eat/ swim etc. Be warned the steps to the house are a relatively steep climb (like the steps/ rocks down to the sea in this part of Puglia), but that just added to the sense of wilderness. We loved Spechhia Ranne, we loved Salento and never wanted to leave.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful stone house, overlooking the sea. Quiet and tranquil, it was a holiday that gave us the rest we needed. Renata is a great host, responsive for questions and generally helpful with suggestions for things to do/see/eat in the area. We loved it here and feel sure we'll return!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Renata's stunning property, and it was an unforgettable experience! The property itself was truly unique, offering a charming blend of comfort and character that made our stay exceptionally special. The highlight, without a doubt, was the magnificent sea view—waking up to the serene, panoramic vistas was absolutely breathtaking. Renata was the perfect host, attentive and thoughtful, ensuring that every detail was taken care of to make our stay seamless and enjoyable. Her warm hospitality truly made us feel right at home. Wow, what a beautiful place to stay on the coast of Southern Italy! The property and gardens were absolutely stunning with all of the INCREDIBLE sea views, lots of plants/trees, the rustic buildings and numerous outdoor seating and sunbathing areas. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming on arrival and was extremely responsive throughout the trip with regards to an issue which she immediately sorted for us. The property had everything we needed such as table ware, kitchen utensils, bed linen, towels and even a washing machine if you need one. It was also extremely clean.

We spent 9 wonderful days at Specchia Ranne. The house, the terrace (spectacular view), the spacious garden are all designed with a lot of feeling for nature and the landscape - rustic, simple and yet with that certain something. The furniture in the house is creative, timeless, a wonderful mix of old and new. It was like what we would do ourselves if we owned a pretty little stone house over the sea! Not to forget: Renata's tips for excursions and restaurants, which we often followed - trusting in her good taste - and were never disappointed.
